Maybe he didn't want to re-sign with the Rangers. Or maybe 1.5 was more than the Rangers were willing to pay. Just because the Rangers didn't sign him doesn't mean they didn't want to sign him.

That is possible. I was under the impression that he wanted to come back but I could be wrong.
