The one name I haven't heard is Shipachyev. Apparently he is a two-way player and had chemistry with Buch. That would be a smart signing.

I think it's a lot easier to sign cheaper 4th line wingers than a 4th line center. Use the $1.5m that Stalberg got on a good center. Fill the winger spots with cheaper alternatives

Why people are upset at the Rangers not being active I'll never know.

I don't know what fans expected. It's not like the lack of cap space is a shock. The Rangers made a good under the radar signing (Surprised nobody got tipped off on Clendening before he signed...curious)

I saw on twitter this morning the Rangers were gong to sign Smith-Pelley, does that have any legs?

I don't want Martin for what he is going to sign for. The Rangers are going to have to sit back and wait for OTHER teams to assess where they are in a few weeks. Maybe Nash becomes more attractive.

If Gorton doesn't do anything, that's fine. But after saying what they said after the season, Gorton and AV need to do a bit of damage control in the next few days. Not just with the fans but the players as well. But it's early, it's July 1st. Hopefully by training camp these long tedious days are distant memory.

I'd be fine with Martin at 2M. AND assuming Glass GTFOff our team.

That being said, whoever signs him will probably have to pay 2.5-2.75M.

Blues GM Doug Armstrong saying on @NHLNetwork that he's now planning to start the year with Kevin Shattenkirk on their roster

I mean, sure. Bergevin also said he wasn't planning on trading Subban. What's true one moment isn't always true the next.

Martin isn't worth $2 mill...

He's a $1 mill 4th line player who has gotten a big rep because of his hits, but he's fairly poor in just about all other areas
