I've never been obsessed with any Ranger player as much as they're obsessed with Alfredsson.

That's because the Rangers haven't grown and held onto homegrown superstars all that often. Not sure how long you've been around, but imagine if Brian Leetch hadn't been traded and decided to walk as a free agent at the end of his career. Or, how about if Callahan was twice as good, plays here for another dozen years, and then walks. Those fans have a right to take this hard, especially considering the fact that the team looks like it's on the rise, if not a legit contender next season.
