Put on your swimsuits. We're going dumpster-diving again!
I think whats sticking out is the 3rd round pick when its always the player that's what matters. If Steve Staios traded Jakob Chychrun for Nick Jensen when he had the whole league to source from, it stands to reason he REALLY likes Nick Jensen. He could, but it’s extremely unlikely we couldn’t craft an offer with ease that he likes better than 33 year old Nick Jensen.
The season doesn't start tomorrow. Lots of time to change some seats at the table.
Sure - on a 3-year deal or so. He got 5.I'm almost glad we're not in on this, but Marchessault at $5.5 wouldn't have been bad.
Not sure if anyone is aware but the cap is going up, a lot, this and year and in years to come. These deals are not surprising at all. The money going out on UFA deals will continue to rise.
would have had to been $6.5 from NYDamn. Some of these costs are steep. 3.5 for Trenin?
Nashville going all in with Stamkos, Skjei, and Marchessault.
Washington going full make-over.
I'm almost glad we're not in on this, but Marchessault at $5.5 wouldn't have been bad
Y'all are touched if you're actually upset about not being in on these disaster contracts.
Yea every other GM is just an idiot and Drury is a genius. Give me a break, most these contracts are actually a lot lower than what I would’ve guessed especially with the cap going upY'all are touched if you're actually upset about not being in on these disaster contracts.
They just won the Presidents Trophy. There's no top winger to be had currently so you keep your powder dry. What seats will that be? Still need to revamp the defense and find a top winger since the butt buddies can’t be seperated. We gonna trade our top prospects? What are we trading for? We are sadly running back the same team.
Why is that? NY is one of the premier destinations in the NHL, It's time that management used it to their advantage. We shouldn't have to pay more for someone to come to one of the most vibrant cities in the worldwould have had to been $6.5 from NY
lots of deals are out of control. some aren't.You realize there's a way to say this without being an asshole, right?
And it's not JUST CAP SPACE. It's cap space we critically need to re-sign our players next off-season.
These deals are out of control today. They would all significantly hamstring us in future years.
