Yeah i was just doing the math for trade deadline which included an optimal lineup with Norris. If norris is out past the deadline then it makes things trickier unless we can get Norris to pull a stone/kucherov and come back game 1 of the playoffs
If we get Norris to pull a Kucherov/Stone, I hope we load up on wingers for Stu. Get Kuzmenko from Philly and Nyquist from Nashville, both could be had for draft picks that aren't too high.

With what assets, brother?

Moving a 1st is absolute no go. Moving a 2nd would be dumb as hell since we likely won't have a first and we have a barren cupboard so we need picks.

Only thing we can move is one of our 3rds next year. That'll get us a 3rd liner if we lucky.

I'm just running off good vibes from the weekend wins. I'm unrealistically hoping a 3rd, 4th, and players/prospects that might not be in our long term plans (KBD, Boucher) will get us Kuzmenko or Nyquist. Or even better, hopefully we can move Amadio or Perron (not because they're bad but ebcause I don't expect them to provide full value for their caphits) while acquiring one year rentals that can play on Stu's wing and give us capspace next year

not fully comparable but halls value was apparently less than a 3rd

taylor hall: 24 pts in 46 games (0.52 ppg) in chicago 6 million cap hit
nyquist: 20 pts in 50 games (0.4 ppg), 3.185 million cap hit
kuzmenko: 15 pts in 37 games (0.41 ppg), 5.5 million cap hit

now obviously with the players listed the lower cap hit is a pro, but the production is also lower. How much does the value get bumped up is a question but i dont see it getting bumped up to a 2nd or higher personally

Also keep in mind Chicago retained half on Rantanen just to get said 3rd. I think we can get Nyquist retained for a 3rd.

If the Nucks are willing to take Perron, I'd honestly risk giving up the first in a weak draft and JBD for Boeser. This gives us a ton of cap space in the offseason to further improve our team and re-sign Boeser.
