He's just pointing out that they are willing to give up a later pick rather than wait it out. If this years pick is late they've already shown that they are willing to give it up rather than wait by offering the Boston pick last year, even though it was obviously turned down by the league.

Don't know how we make the cap hit work, especially for Tanev where we'd need double retention+...

But we should be going for some depth LW/LD that fit the group:

Gregor/Gaudette/Cousins (inj) should be in the stands or on LTIR until the playoffs.

??? - Hamonic
??? - JBD

Need some depth on LD in case we need it.
