on paper sens should win 5 of their next 6 games
lets see what actually happens though
We'll go 1-5 but the one win will be against the Canes somehow....

An $8 million 3rd line centre?JT miller apparently asking for change. That’s a f***ing prick that I wouldn’t mind having. Pinto+?
Although it looks like miller will go to New York.
But man Miller would definitely
Change things here.
Let Norris go down to the third line.
Stutzle miller Norris
Well pinto +. Pinto amadio +. I don’t know. Pinto is a legit good young nhler. I would even do pinto and Greig. don’t know what the market is. JT has a massive contract as well that other teams may not want to take on.An $8 million 3rd line centre?
Regardless the money wouldn't work unless a similar salaried guy was back the other way and that aint Pinto.

Like any team that goes on a winning streak you need your goalie to be hot. If Ullmark plays great they can certainly do it.on paper sens should win 5 of their next 6 games

I mean, there's Obama too.The Ottawa Senators can only blame The Ottawa Senators for where they are in the standings.
what could go wrong.I'm personally fine with cleaning house and building around Stu and Sanderson at this point, but with a rookie GM at the helm?....
Preds, Isles, and Ducks are very 'winnable' games.on paper sens should win 5 of their next 6 games

It's almost too late for changing GM, Andlauer made his decision and I don't think he's the type of guy to change his mind a year later or whatever it is. It's scary though, wish we had an assistant GM that had a firm handle on things to guide Staios.what could go wrong.
Too much group think. We need a GM with some quality experience and we need to improve the scouting
I could care less about Joseph but would like to know why we had to pay a 3rd.It's almost too late for changing GM, Andlauer made his decision and I don't think he's the type of guy to change his mind a year later or whatever it is. Scouting, they can hire more people, or fire some and replace. Not sure why they don't.
In the end though, you make a trade sending Joseph and a 2nd away and signing Amadio - which is essentially what happened - and you deserve to be judged.
Zub's injury couldn't have come at a worse time, games that are "winnable" that we need to get points from, and we're stuck playing with Hamonic on the top pair. Maybe we'd have pulled the trigger on a trade for Fabbro or just claimed him off waivers had he been hurt two weeks earlier,Preds, Isles, and Ducks are very 'winnable' games.
So im' predicting they lost to each of those and somehow beat the wings and canes
Oh, I dont care about him either, but he's a f***load better than Amadio - and, as you say, we had to pay (I thought it was a 2nd, but I see it was a 3rd).I could care less about Joseph but would like to know why we had to pay a 3rd.
Too late .. well if you are going to tear it down and rebuild (cleaning house and building around Stu and Sanderson) its not too late
i do agree that the zub injury is at a poor time but top pairing hamonic is a choice that is being made (no idea why) and on top of that it isnt working either. I get not wanting to separate chabot-jensen but at some point winning the game needs to take priority over making the easy changeZub's injury couldn't have come at a worse time, games that are "winnable" that we need to get points from, and we're stuck playing with Hamonic on the top pair. He's got 4 points in 17 games and a -5 compared to Amadio with 5 in 24 and -6. He had 18 goals over the last 3 years compared to Amadio's 41. Neither guy is doing jack shit to help this team.Oh, I dont care about him either, but he's a f***load better than Amadio - and, as you say, we had to pay (I thought it was a 2nd, but I see it was a 3rd).
As for too late, I all but guarantee Andlauer doesn't change GMs after a year and a bit.
and we didn't trade one for the other... its random to compare themHe's got 4 points in 17 games and a -5 compared to Amadio with 5 in 24 and -6. He had 18 goals over the last 3 years compared to Amadio's 41. Neither guy is doing jack shit to help this team.
Even if we traded for him, he'd probably get injured and out of the line up before we could even pile on himI wonder if we could get Ristolainen, we'll need a new whipping boy once Hamonic's contract expires, and he'd really fill the void left when Zaitsev was traded...
tbf, Amadio has gotten a bit more opportunity than Joseph, including a bit of PP timeHe's got 4 points in 17 games and a -5 compared to Amadio with 5 in 24 and -6. He had 18 goals over the last 3 years compared to Amadio's 41. Neither guy is doing jack shit to help this team.
Definitely.and we didn't trade one for the other... its random to compare them
That is a fair point and I've seen that mentioned before, but I still think it bears out that neither guy is having a spectacular season and doing much to help their teams, and Amadio is paid a bit less.tbf, Amadio has gotten a bit more opportunity than Joseph, including a bit of PP time
It's not even pining, it's that guys were brought in to help the team have flat out failed and it's f***ing annoying, especially when we paid to get rid of similar players that we brought in.Definitely.
I get annoyed. It was very predictable that if the team struggled, we'd hear all about how Joseph, Chychrun & Brannstrom were actually the solutions for this team and the GM is a dunce. Never mind them being here for previous failed years. Maybe the new guys weren't the solutions, hard to argue that atm, but I'm not going to pine for guys that were already here when the team couldn't get it done.

Amadio played with tkatchuk and stutzle for like 5 games. I’m sure their underlying numbers were fine but I think amadio was still 0 points.Yep, I agree.
People are assuming Jospeh would be producing similar to how he did last year, but I don't think that's fair either. He played a lot with Giroux and Stutzle, in fact those were his most common linemates,
Amadio has been playing with an ice cold Pinto, and Gregor.
There's a lot of context that gets ignored when people lament Joseph vs Amadio.
Well, he was able to stick with them and do well. Amadio was given the same opportunity and stunk to high heaven with Stutzle and in the top 6.Yep, I agree.
