It's funny, he's second among fwds at 5v5 in hits and 1st in blocked shots, he's also 2nd in penalties drawn. Not stats you'd typically associate with playing like a cupcake.

He's certainly not a physical force, but I don't see him shying away from contact the way he was when he didn't quite trust the shoulder.

He lacks intensity. Same with Pinto this year. Stuztle, Brady and G are the only guys who have consistently been engaged in board battles and playing hard even when we are down.

The boys on tsn 1200 brought up this point this morning about Brady trying to bring the rest of the guys into the fight.

Pretty disappointing not seeing guys like Norris, Greig and Pinto play a more intense style of game. This team should be playing with a level of urgency

No, this is far less about believing or not believing, in as much as it is about fact and historical significance.

I am from a tribe; Banou Azd. They first surfaced in 200 CE. As in first documented. Their original area of living was South Western Saudi Arabia (It was not called that back then). The view is, Common religion back then was: idolism and other such religions... OR Judaism.

I noticed Norris throw a couple hits last night that were very much out of character for him. He hunted them and they were heavy. I wondered if his name in the rumour mill had him trying to up his intensity.

yes, but Satan is religion and I explained earlier that I am linked in such a way that I don't dismiss anything.

I can't imagine a GM would give up anything good good for Norris with his history and term.

It will be something like we get back 2 veteran players with term who are no longer big stars. Something like a middle 6 center and a fringe top 4D.

Unless it's Karlsson with his cap retained to be at par with Norris.

I could maybe see LAK trading for him. There is the DJ Smith connection.

I'd guess maybe Nashville or Columbus. Columbus has Provorov, who Ottawa could flip at the deadline if they are out. They also have a few overlaid vets they could bundle to offset Norris.

Nashville is having a bad start and has flexibility to make a move because they have been very conservative about trade protection. Ryan O'Reilly fits the kind of player were trying to bring in. I know he is on a steep decline. It's not so much a suggestion as a prediction.

Ah, I see.

There is plenty I'm open to, and hopefully this doesn't offend anyone because we all have the right ot believe what we want, but for me it doesn't include humans and the grand stories they've told and re-told through generations that take on a life of their own. I think more on a universe level of recycled energy, but I find much of the various religions wade too far in to absurdity to be taken seriously and no part of me believes humans are special in any way as if we have some higher purpose. Ants on an anthill.

That's the kind of deal I would expect, and everybody will lose their mind over Ottawa giving away Norris for two expiring contracts, even if they are useful players who help now.

I still think that it's not only about getting players now, but also getting out of that contract and creating cap flexibility. I highly doubt that we have the leverage to get legitimate assets, or an exciting piece like Jiricek from Columbus.

Ottawa then either keeps the players as own-rentals (or re-signs them), or they flip them at the deadline which at worst gets them a few 3rd round picks. The result being, they get out of the Norris contract completely after failing to save the season by shaking up the room.

I guarantee you that whatever he returns will be moaned and groaned about because people will discount that it is just as much about getting out of the term of the contract without having to attach a major asset to it as it is about getting back players.

I think with Ottawa being so low on trade currency and such a hard UFA draw, especially as they're still mired in losing, they won't just be looking for expiring deals. They'll want players with a little more control imo, not two guys likely to walk away immediately.
