Sens should have stayed with the Draft and develop model for at least 3 more years before going to trades to rush the rebuild.

They are in a tough spot ... big money floating around for D UFAs and we can't seem to move players other than by cutting them loose.

Have to ride it out but its a going to be a tough road.

This is exactly how I feel.

I think the current situation can be navigated successfully, but it's going to take more homeruns like the Ullmark trade and multiple shrewd UFA signings. Definitely not easy.

I can't imagine how much better our position would be right now if all those 1sts and 2nds the last few years were never squandered.

They will probably do a better job once rebuild 2.0 begins 6 months from now.

Agent tactics or not shouldnt be this hard to sign Pinto with the $ we’ve seen. He’s a better player than Norris

Ill give Staios the Boston trade but all this stuff about patience and what he is doing atm is not too nice

Add the interest in Edmundson who cant do anything on the ice aside from crosschecking

Looks like they’re trying to build a goon squad out there. All good to have size but without brains you arent going anywhere
Thoughts on Seider, Byfield, Swayman, Raymond, Jarvis, etc being in the exact same situation (with the only difference being agent comments)?

Is the difference how the teams are operating, or the agent?

WTF is going on? How is it so hard? How has it gotten to this point AGAIN?

He's the most important forward on the roster after Stützle and Tkachuk. Sign him for 6.5-7M x 8 years and the contract will still be miles better than those signed by Chabot, Norris, etc.

Big 23yo C and best two-way player to wear a Sens jersey since Stone. If we f**k this up, my God...

Garroich bring nothing to the table anymore

“ Sens showed interest in player A, B and C, no shit Turok

Sens have interest in many players it’s just lazy reporting by him he should sit this year out or only report breaking news.

It’s funny how Sens fans have watched these players collectively shit the bed every year since they’ve been in the league, but want to bend over for them in every negotiation.

They’ve been given everything while earning nothing, as proven by their embarrassing reaction to the DJ Smith chants and firing last year.

We finally have management with a backbone.

Pinto has zero leverage, and has done nothing at the NHL level to warrant a big pay day.

Let him spend another 6 months skating with high school teams on Long Island.

Maybe Steve Staios has some magic plan?
Yet only 15 players signed out of 23 and $11.5 to spend.

I say it first, before it becomes popular. Fire Staios!! He has no idea about a modern hockey game! Why wait? The idiot will be fired anyway. Please do not be complacent as you people were with Dorion. There will be no end of his stupidity!

Even if this happens, we couldn't use 1 of our next 2 1sts due to the botched Daddy trade by Dorion lol

We're so f***ed.
In the first year of the initial rebuild our pick was punted off to Colorado in the disastrous Duchene deal. No reason to break with that tradition.

He's been cut off by the organization. You know he sees all the access Ian Mendes is getting.

He's also vindictive, so look for him to put in serious work for Lewis Gross here. He can't write about Brannstrom anymore. Starting today, it's 24/7 Pinto trade talk.
