The age is a risk . On the bottom pair with Kleven It would be a large very physical bottom pair. Gudas would come relatively cheap like 2.5 to 3AAV
Gudas would provide added protection

I am not really pounding the drum for him but there are some positives to take away as well.

I think it would be an interesting set of D.

The one major concern I would have is term on Gudas .,., it would have to be kept to no more than 2 years

Here is what Google AI said .. I was interested so looked it up when you objected
Adding Gudas as 3RD would move Matinpalo to 7D. Having Spence in the top 4 D with Sanderson, Chabot and Zub would be OK by me. That would leave some cap dollars to sign a top 6 F if we could trade Zetterlund.

We can trade Zetterlund easily .. we just can't expect too much back. I'd like to send him back to the sharks for Ostapchuk and use him as a 4C

Is NJ still trying to clear out Hamilton, he'd be a decent target if they are, but I suppose that might have just been a move to clear space for Hughes which is no longer needed.

He might be one of those guys who, on here, is living on the reputation of what he was in his prime. If he was as good as people here think, there's no way NJ would want to move him.

Nah they are sitting on about 28M in cap space with no one significant to re-sign.

They just chose to make room for Hildeby/Akhtyamov at backup next year and opted to keep Stolarz over Woll.

I've always liked Stolarz but it does surprise me they chose him given he's 32 and Woll is 27.
I think there was no market for Stolarz due to his age, term and injury-prone.

I don’t think we’d have the piece(s). Wonder if Buffalo would do a Power for Knies swap, kinda makes sense.
I think it's more likely Byram as he only has one more year on his contract and has made it known he wants to be a 1D, something he'll never be in Buffalo as long as Dahlin is on the team. I think they'd only give up Knies if it's a sign and trade deal.

I’m going to predict three moves:
The core pieces is all I’m predicting not so much the additional pieces.

Trade 1:
Grieg + for Ristolainen

Trade 2
Spence + for McTavish

Trade 3
Zetterlund + for Debrusk

Again what those pluses I have no clue what they are, however those are what I’m predicting

Yo why is there a plus next to Greig lol

An extra 4" and 26lbs don't come free
It won't matter if he's on the IR. His injury history over the last three seasons is horrendous.

He's not what he used to be. There is next to no offense. He's still considered strong defensively and has a physical element to his game which is good.

I wouldn't give up Grieg. Hopefully Staios agrees.

I am with you. He makes me too nervous to want to give up much for him. Was attempting to make a joke around the constant size discussion here.

Gudas sucks. Ducks fans couldn't wait to see him leave

Please no more slow aging players
