Proposal: Free agency edition Trade Rumours/Proposals - 2025/26 Part II

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
100%.

It also doesn't make sense to not have Eklund and Zetterlund together if they produce as a duo
With Granlund and PP time .. I 'm not sold .. he sunk in the lineup here for a reason

That said I am sure we see Z up there with Eklund if a move for a top 6 w is not made . Staios wants another shot at being right.

I am not sure I understand your last question? Had we finished more would I have highlighted lack of finish? Probably not no.

Fair point that it's a small sample.
I'm saying had we finished more, Carolina, who created more chances than us but finished a similar amount (basically one more goal a game when you take away EN stuff), would be the team that people complain lacked finish. In such a tiny sample, Bounces are the difference between complaints about lack of finish and nobody saying a word about it. The series opened up scoring with Stankoven whiffing on a shot and it fooling Ullmark. That goal ended up being the game winner since Batherson's was waived off after video failed to show it crossing the line. Ullmark makes a save on the off speed 'shot', and andersen's glove is a touch deeper when he makes that save on batherson, and suddenly it's Carolina who lacks finish and likely losses the game, but finish had nothing to do with their game winning goal.

I don't think Staios is that kind of guy. He'll leave him where he is if he needs. Same with Green

Not acquiring another forward is alarming to even think about. That can't be the case, or we're f***ed.

Any Chance Clb does this:

Greig, 25oa, Hensler or Yak for Marchenko with an extension

Too much? Too little? Or am I crazy thinking Marchenko would extend here... Maybe he can be best buds with Zub?
I think they only consider it if it’s Yak.

Yak and Hensler aren’t really interchangeable pieces.

Too little imo. But this would be amazing. If they are letting werenski go and are rebuilding, maybe they’d be interested in futures. I’d try to hang on to Grieg and add a couple 1sts instead. I imagine they’d be looking for something similar to what Brady got.

Tbh I have no problem with giving up 4 1st round picks as compensation for offer sheeting Robertson.

It's 4 out of the next 5 years so if we really do suck one of those years we can actually use the pick.

He will be very good even until his mid 30s just like Stone. We can even get his bro from Toronto for cheap

Don’t think that’s how offer sheets work

Edit: I’m wrong again

Seems like Yak is being thrown in a lot of proposals. We sure that’s a good idea. Still unsure about the kid. He could bust but he also could end up being one of the better offensive Dmen in the league.

Washington added two legitimate first liners and are building a big group. Have young players coming up as well. The East will only get tougher.
