People are viewing this trade as if Brady has some long-term contract ready to go. Unless I'm missing some reports from Florida media, I haven't seen any mention about his next contract and what the plan is there. He may play next season and decide that he isn't actually interested in playing with his brother/in Florida long term. If that happens, then Florida traded a hefty package for 1-2 seasons of Brady.

I hope they fail to win the cup the next 2 years with Brady and he goes home to St Louis or something so he's out of the Atlantic :skull:

are you srs an insider bro or r u larping
Eh, insider is too glorious.
I have a friend who works for the Sens, but since Andlauer bought the team and Staios took over, it’s completely different than it was before.

So I get tidbits, but nothing crazy.
Also have a friend who is good friends with Ian Mendes, so get some general vibes from them as well.

Lock up your 40 point players, we're coming for all of them!

Robert Thomas could be a great target for Ottawa where you can use the picks acquired to get arguably a better player back!

I saw an insider say that the Sabres have re-engaged with Alex Tuch. They also apparently want to get into the top 10 of the draft.

If they re-sign Tuch to big money, that could make Quinn available. They'd have Tuch and Doan on RW.

Quinn would be a very good fit. Can skate and shoot. Not a "big" name, but has 30G, 65-70PT upside IMO.

Tippet + Risto - > 9th +
Maverick Borque > 25th? Not sure what else would need to be added
I wonder what could get us Tippet and Risto. I'd rather not trade Greig, but could him, the 25th, and and the player we take at 32 get Philly down or would they insist the 9th overall has to be there. (Not that I want Risto on the team instead of Spence lol)

Spence could get us Bourque, Dallas has no RD depth at all.

If Robertson is gonna get traded we make perfect sense.

We have the assets, space and play in a different conference.

Obviously Robertson will wanna have to play here but we align perfectly potentially.

I was thinking about Spence for Bourque, but they need to shed salary.
Ideally Ottawa doesn't take any more forwards off their roster. But I wonder if Spence + 9th would be interesting to Philly maybe?

If we do Spence and the 9th overall for Tippett and Risto, I hope we can swap Tampa's 1st withy Philly's 1st, it just feels like they're benefiting more since they're getting younger pieces meanwhile we get 40ish games of Risto.
