I am very happy to see that Smith deal. I'm hoping Dubas can add a Skinner type on another 1 year deal to sell off for more picks at the deadline.

So, how many more assets to be able to make a tradw for a young guy? Pens have a lot of picks and cap space all of a sudden

Skinner would be insane to come here, IMO. There are probably places that would offer him a multi year deal today. And there are others that would be much better landing spots for a one-year deal to "pump his numbers" for a contract next summer.

The Penguins now have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in 2025, a 1st, 2nd and 2 3rds in 2026 and a 1st, 2 2nds and a 3rd in 2027. Finally they're starting to stock up on some draft picks. To be able to get those 2 2nds without giving up pretty much anything of note is great work by Dubas.

Now go trade for Nick Robertson to replace Smith in the top-9.
