Duchene in Ranger blue at 8 million per or Panarin at 11.6 per in Ranger blue? I know the former is in Nashville (and probably didn't want NY anyway) and not saying would have taken him over Panarin but he did fill the 2nd center need.

To the point of Panarin having less wear on him because of a four year NHL career:
Yes, he was playing in Russia and yes they have some animals, but not at the level of physicality of the NHL. Also the KHL season is 56 games as opposed to 82 here... then an INSANE second playoff season if you are lucky. So, no, it's not as if Panarin was 23 years old, but it's reasonable to say he, with four NHL years, doesn't have the normal wear and tear of a player who has been in the NHL for 8 years and is the same 27 years old.
