If our contract to Panarin is actually 12x7, I'm livid.
This has always been the case. In hockey his strategy was hire the most respected possible GM (Glen Sather) and just give him free regin and a blank checkbook.Dolan a better hockey owner then basketball?
Signing a big FA to complement your team is fine. Signing big FAs to create your team is not.
6 years for a bottom 6'er is crazy.
So frustrating to really think the Rangers had changed. Also so stupid of me to ever believe a new GM would be able to restrain himself.
Panarin is a great player. But this is just a poorly timed move that could really **** us down the line.
Signing big FAs has never won us diddly. Nor other teams around the league.
Same old Rangers.
This is still complementing based on the core they believe they have. They aren't signing him to be the sole scorer as in years past. They believe Kakko and Kravtsov can be those as well. And this is complimenting? We literally have no clue what we have at this point. We are in year 2 of rebuild and are buying a player that should be bought once we are trying put ourselves over the top.
Similar to $8.99 vs $9.I know 11.5 wouldn't be massively different from 12 but for whatever reason it looks visually more appealing to me lol
