Not gonna lie. The juxtaposition of the Brooks Tweet against the LeBrun one is a little alarming.

If I could work out a trade for Aho I might be willing to do it way before signing Panarin. But of course I also don’t want to give up KK or Kravtsov. A package with firsts and Chytil I’d do. Top 5 protected next year.

You would not need to add Lundkvist and Chytil to Kravtsov to get him. That's ludicrous. And the Rangers wouldn't do that anyway.

I think something like Kreider+Chytil+Lias/Buch/Lundkvist maybe. I'm not sure.

It would be a huge package, no doubt, but I'd much rather trade that for a 21 year old, budding star center, than a winger that is going to put up less than 30 goals.

I am not trading 3+ assets for an 80point player when I can sign one for free.

Neither are guaranteed of doing it again, but one has established a history of that level of production for more than one season.

I'm not convinced that Aho can do it again.

We don't have teh 2nd or 3rd round picks to make this type of offer. With the picks we have tied up in the Fox trade, the only offer sheet we can sign is one with 4 1st round pick compensation.

That's true, although with Carolina being the team those conditionals are with, they might be able to work something out.

Neither are guaranteed of doing it again, but one has established a history of that level of production for more than one season.

I'm not convinced that Aho can do it again.

One is 21 and plays a position we are in desperate need of bettering. Another is 27 and plays a position with which we have a plethora of top prospects.

What are you planning to do with all these assets that we can never fit onto our roster?

That would be the biggest trade (In terms of net value exchanged) for NYR in the last 30 years.

Doesn't mean it wouldn't happen, but I would be surprised if it played out over a 3 hour period.

If you're comparing them straight up, sure. But factoring in the assets we'd have to give up to get Aho? I don't think "not even close" is accurate at all.

We can give Carolina a great quantity trade, but I don't think there's a centerpiece for them besides Mika or the next year 1st
