It is not what you or I would want, but I have to believe that IF this happens, it is a part of the plan and that plan is always evolving depending on opportunities presented. I would be floored if Gorton was to sign him to $12m.

Seems to me even at 9M the evolving plan would be to hope Panarin does not decline right at the wrong time, which sure seems very similar to the same plan which led to them rebuilding in the first place.

We don't have teh 2nd or 3rd round picks to make this type of offer. With the picks we have tied up in the Fox trade, the only offer sheet we can sign is one with 4 1st round pick compensation.
