you trade Carlo you need a replacement within (they don't have ) so would need coming back

Agreed. I'm okay with Carlo going but I have Coyle at the top of my trade list.

But honestly I don't think anyone is untouchable but some would require huge returns and overpayment that simply won't happen.

Get some picks Donny, free some cap, this season ain't ending in a cup

I was expecting a conditional 3rd or 4th that became a 2nd or 3rd.

Sweeney was able to get a 2nd that will be better than Edmonton's, a 4th for Max Jones of all players, and a defensive prospect that is RD depth in Providence that could become a bottom-pairing defenseman. Good deal!

That D looks decent, decent enough I think Carlo could be moved. Replace him with a D that can generate some offense which we are lacking

Prospect? Not too bad. Second round picks are nice and sometimes turn into star players.

It won’t this year either probably, but since the two best guys in that list are out indefinitely they are in trouble. A top ten pick this year would be nice

Yes, you usually get 2-3 very good players , and a few other playable players out of the 30 second round picks.

I have no problem with the trade, they had clearly made the decision that they were not wiling to go long term with Frederic.

All draft picks are lottery tickets. The first rounders are those crazy expensive 20 dollar scratchers. The socond rounder is more you 5 dollar scratcher, and the later round guys are the dollar scratchers.

This is my main issue. Love his defensive game, love his personality and teammates seem to like him a lot but so many other dmen in the league can give you defense first while also having a great outlet pass, shot or mean streak. Carlo just has no other dimension to his game but defense and I'm not sure how well that compares to the modern nhl middle pair dman on a good team. I will be happy if we get a good return but also won't be upset if he's on the team next year for a redo.
