Fraser Minten named Captain of Team Canada

Been happy with Minten so far. He’s focused on a 200’ game, a task he is handling well.
Some may be frustrated with his unselfishness when it comes to running up his numbers but I’m okay with it. It’s not like he’s deferring on sure goals to dish it to his linemates so it isn’t costing us anything.
Big test today against Sweden. Make the path to the medal round as easy as possible.
This is my Stanley Cup afterall. :thumbu:

Well to be fair I don't think he's having a good game today. But yeah. Those main board posters hate the Leafs with a passion. So it'll definitely be magnified there. Lol

People just looking for any reason to hate on anything or anyone associated with the Leafs.

From the little bits I saw of Canada, they looked really bad. I don't recall seeing them look like this in the past.

I thought Cowan looked a lot better that game.

That f***ing canadian d man just floats and puts his stick out and deflects it in. Block the f***ing shot or get out of the way.

Canada is spoiled though with great players. That was not as good of a team as usual. Pretty bad they didn't even get to the semi's. They could of had a number of other great players on the roster.

Hasn't been a great Christmas break for hockey.

Doesn’t help we rarely have prospects go. The last one before Mints and Cowboy was Marner, and that was 8 years ago.

Anyway the treatment Minten and Cowan got from other Canadian “fans” is no surprise. Leafs hate trumps even nationalistic pride. This same attitude was true for Mitch as well when he was there.

Damn it all I wish they could’ve at least gotten out of the quarterfinals. Guaranteed at least two more games but alas.
