How to deal with McDivas high hits

No no no, we can't risk taking a penalty!

Fun game. Really impressed with Kempe's game. Did a great job pressuring players. He dropped back into coverage when the Swedish D pinched. Played a lot of responsible hockey & came away with a goal. Burned that 89 guy too.

Fun to see Arvidsson again.

Kempe proves yet again how based he is. Always wondered how he'd play at C, he was drafted at that position after all. He has the speed and defensive prowess to be successful down the middle with his driving style. He also doesn't shy away from physical contact and plays with an edge, very complete all around player.

The Fins are such good 2 way players, Im surprised the Kings dont have a little enclave on the roster.

So this means we have to root for the tkachuk kids? Barf
White knighting for Doughty aside, I don't understand why Kings fans hate these guys. Two of the very few players in this league that can take you back to the days of power forwards. Brady has 21 goals, 101 PIMs and is 8th in the league in total hits. Total beauty. Either of these guys would be the most popular player on the Kings.
This is fun hockey. I def. didnt expect guys to be flying around full tilt, even 'for country.'
Nobody is safe when a Tkachuk puts on a U.S. jersey. Hotel furniture as well.

Tkachuk - Eichel - Tkachuk vs. Marchand - Bennett - Konecny is gonna be mutually assured destruction

Eichel in there like

I like the 3-2-1 point format. NHL should adopt. Also NBA are you watching? This is what the NBA All-Star format should have 4 nations. Say USA/CANADA/FRANCE/SERBIA - Who ever comes in 4th is relegated

Love the 3-2-1 point format, you would see a lot more teams (especially those chasing in the standings) going for it in the third period of tied games, as opposed to sitting back and playing for the extra point (the Kings being one of the most guilty teams in the league at this). It would incentivize winning in regulation.

But you would have less parity, and the league and it's owners LOVE parity and so many teams getting the loser point in 3 point games. There are a lot of sucker fans (such as one who posts here) who love to talk about their "95-100 point team", while being completely oblivious that half the league reaches that threshold.

People think their team that is 30-30-9 is a ".500 team" the same way that a 30-30 NBA or MLB team is .500, just not realizing at all that those lost 9 points are going to competitors.

Yes

I am in favor of just a straight W-L system though. I think if we get rid of the commie cheater point that we will see less games going to OT in the first place.

Agreed. Regulation wins being a tiebreaker already states the fact that they are worth more than an OT/SO win so just get on with it already.
