His first two years in particular before the ankle sprain he could absolutely fly.
Which makes me love the dude even more. Loses the top level of his super power yet relentlessly focuses on getting better at all aspects of the game. His contributions in Canada's G1 when dude didn't even try to shoot the puck tells you everything you need to know about Sid.

It is a shame that there's so many what ifs with Sid because of his many injuries but what he's accomplished despite that is still legendary.

Like imagine if Sid stays healthy during his peak. Probably two more rosses and at least one Rocket. And that might be me being conservative.

Mario had the same deal. Both lost countless art rosses and other awards because of injury and yet both still have insane resumes

I am Canadian, go USA go!

I don’t know if it matters much for Mario. Anyone who wasn’t a Gretzky simp could tell he was the greatest ever. Literally looked like a man amongst boys.

I think Jagr was right when he said the only sports equivalent to Jordan was Mario.

The PA guy telling the crowd to respect the anthems is sure to stop 20,000 rowdy Canadians from booing the Star Spangled Banner under the current circumstances.

*dusts off hands and walks away*

My hope is they get someone like Celine Dion to do the USA national anthem because I would love to see a crowd of thousands of Canadians have the nerve to boo her.

The silver lining being that his play in 4 Nations might increase his trade value in a deal hopefully in the near future.
Agreed that would be a good outcome if that’s the route they want to go. It’s just frustrating watching because it still feels like with a coaching change and a few trades, Pens could be in the playoffs. I want a rebuild, but with Crosby around that’s not happening.

I don’t see a scenario where Karlsson is traded and Pens get better. Helps the rebuild, but again, I don’t see them committing to that.

I'm convinced that nothing will help and no one knows what they're doing except for 87 and 71.

For real. Hope he does really well in the 4 Nations and for the rest of the season and hopefully you can get something significant this summer with like 35-50% retained.
