I mean it didn’t look too bad aside from the fact that it’s keeping him out of the 3rd period of a USA/Canada game. He was at least moving lol.

Me thinks hes had a lingering hand injury all year. The last goal he scored for Florida he tapped the team bench with his far hand rather than his near hand extremely unusual. He's def been battling though something all year.

The Canadian team is a perfect example of why individual stars often don’t result in a team victory.
Totally agree. McDavid on their first PP makes a rush play. He creates a scoring chances and the puck finds its way out of the zone. The puck ends up coming his way while heading for the bench and he just blindy (doesnt even turn his head) passes the puck behind him across the ice which connects to nobody. USA pressures the puck which leads to the whole CAN squad having to reset behind their blue line.

Probably 99.999% of Canadian fans think they’ll beat Finland easily and get a rematch with USA in the final. However, stranger things have happened.

Why Hagel and Cirelli are on this Canadian team is beyond me other than that Cooper probably wanted his guys.

I also hate having a tourney like this in the middle of the season, why so we can have guys get injured?

Forsling played great in the two games, no shame.

Actually, all of our players are playing great imo except for Reino. He's been mostly unnoticeable so far. And that WAS Barkov 's goal, not Kakko's , it was clear as day to me. Those ESPN guys need their eyes checked.

They really should have won, Hellebuyck stood on his head and Canada has an average goalie.

Oly took 4 peri ods and ahalf for Barkv to showup. Oathetic. Mayb he wantto play for team russia.

What? Please, he's been good. You sound like a LeafsOilers fan dissing Barkov for not scoring 40 goals or 100+ points. We here should all know the value of Barkov by now. He's been like a 3rd D for Finland in both games, plus driving a lot of their offense .

Only thing being confirmed in the tournament is that our best players still all have that next level needed to succeed in the playoffs, lets just hope no serious injuries, and that the guys come back pumped for the stretch run.
I’m fine if we stone Tkachuk to be honest: let’s us add a D and forward then lol.

I agree and it’s really pretty clear.
— Tkachuk is a gamer supreme
— Gus is Sweden’s best D by a lot
— Barky is keeping Finland going
— Eetu and Lundy stand out
— Mikkola has another gear
— Don’t F with Benny either
— Only Q-mark is Reino but it’s not serious

All are great team players who want to win.

From what I've seen at least: everyone's seems to have had great tournaments so far aside from Bennett and Reinhart. It's been fun to watch not only for the tournament itself (Hyva Suomi!!) but also how our players are doing on each of the teams: one of the great things about having players on all the teams.

Bennett's only had the one game so we'll see if he plays more and can produce. As for Reino, I think he's the type of player that needs to have more chemistry with his team to be effective - so maybe he's not at his best when thrown into a short tournament. Also, Canada doens't seem to be playing up to their talent level at the moment, so maybe it's something about the team itself or coaching.

I thought it was hilarious when Tkachuk declined to mix it up with Barkov in the first game, and also left it to his brother to fight Bennett. There's national pride and then there's not getting yelled at when you get home...

Barkov shouldn't be the captain. He hasn't played in the Leijonat team for more than a decade if I remember correctly. Mikke Granlund is the biggest lion legend in the roster and should be the captain. It was no surprise whatsoever that he scored the winning goal. He always steps up when it counts.

Thanks for stopping by Mrs Granlund
