Playing Karlsson over Dahlin is criminal.

I think this tournament is at least partially about honoring seniority within each nation. Might explain why Hedman and Karlsson are getting better opportunities even though Dahlin has been a top-3 defenseman in the NHL for the past 2 months.

And it kind of makes sense since the NHL missed the past 2 Olympics where these older guys could have gone in their prime but were robbed the opportunity.

I've always been on the side that he makes a pretty decent third pairing D-man on the right side but he's always in our top 4 because we have no one else.

I’m a Florida fan but was watching him intensely: he’s a guy I think Zito targets to give the Forsling or Montour treatment. Let him play as a third pair D and absorb the culture and then see if he can move up

From a purely selfish standpoint, in a way I'm glad neither of Dahlin or Jokiharju will be dealing with however over-amped the physical play will be in the finale. One they don't need to get any more injured, the other they don't need to hurt his potential trade value.
