Yeah, those guys really hate that people don't hold Kutch in high regard. You just can't compare Wingers to Centers, and they hate that.

Plus he was propped up by a ton of empty net points. Something they've been obsessed with trying to dunk on us for this year due to MacKinnon having a bunch - but it was a legitimate argument when it came down to the Hart specifically, and similarly I think will absolutely hurt MacKinnon's case this year if things continue as they have.

They've been frothing at the mouth ever since. We'll 100% be hearing that empty net shit at the end of the year when we make arguments for the Hart, even though it was totally valid to bring up.

You can tell a lot of these other players on Team Canada aren’t used to playing with a dynamic puck mover on the blue line. They cycle along the board, back down to the blue line, but instead of passing it to one of the defensemen, they just launch it on their backhand back down the boards

Toews is there on his own merit. Incredibly smart and effective player.

His last calendar year hasn't been quite up to the standard we're used to him putting out there, IMO. He can be a clear top-10 dman in the NHL. He's been getting back to that thankfully

Toews has clearly been playing hurt at times but staying out there for 23 minutes a game so they can keep Middleton and MacDermid off the ice as much as possible.
