Point - McDavid - Stone

Getting Marner away from McDavid forces Connor to be the play driver and dominant puck carrier. Stone clears space and Point gets to shoot which he’s been great at with back to back 50 goal seasons.

Crosby - MacKinnon - Reinhart

Giving MacK a guy in Reinhart who can skate a lot better than Stone and keep up with him on the rush.

Hagel - Cirelli - Marner

Let Marner do his puck carrying thing with the grinders, nobody having any concern with him holding it for long stretches.

Marchand - Bennett - Konecny

Bennett is better at center than he is at wing. This line played a heavy game and Konecny is better fit than Jarvis in this role.

I said he’s been arguably Canada’s worst player. I never said he was Winnipegs worst player because that doesn’t matter.

He’s not playing well. Did nothing on the PP when he filled in for Makar either.
