WTG Canada - to those who think Canadians are arrogant, I thought I may as well have some fun! Which is the Freebird? Maybe tone down the arrogance yourselves. Most fans here were fair but some were just over the top obnoxious.

Well this isn’t in good faith. It was a great game. I felt the US team was the better team in the 3rd period and overtime. It’s hockey, one bad bounce or missed coverage and the puck bounces the other way. I’m not a fan of the friction in here this week.

When have you ever known Brad to bite his tongue?

Truth he doesn’t bite his tongue but in this situation he should consider it. He wasn’t a factor in this tournament, his age showed, he was consistently behind the play and fighting the puck. Matthew and Brady were factors in each and every game. The Canadians won, with some luck. They were outplayed in this game by a fair margin. Hockey is a game of bounces, Marchand should know that. Take the high road. He’s very immature for a veteran.

Team USA was really impressive. Those two teams totally healthy go at it best of 7 and Canada loses at least half of the simulations

She had way too much vibrato in her voice, I couldn't even tell what she was saying when she changed the lyrics.

She was awful, and I blame the event planners for that. You don't put two versions of anthems out there that are so completely opposite. At least give the Canadians a chance to match a top opera singer backed up by one of the most famous orchestras in the world.

I thought it was symbolique and consequent with how some of our neighbours see Canada.
I loved it.

No it was not Canadians booing, you know better. The Canadian fans drowned out the booing by signing it for her, she was not very good but she was no Roseann Barr. Honestly get rid of the anthems all together, if no politics in sports is what everyone wants then just drop the puck.

Not the last game, other than taking a spot from a healthy player. Marchand and Stone could have been replaced by any two of Mark Scheifele, Wyatt Johnson, Zach Hyman, Jordan Kyrou, Gabriel Vilardi or John Tavares.

I would say the 1st period was mostly Canada's period. If not for Helly it could have been 2-0 easily. Alas it was 1-1, thats hockey and the rest of the game could have gone either way. It was great hockey regardless of who won and who played. So much better than the All Star gimic weekend.

PS- After the display of excellent hockey we are discsussing singing over skating, passing and hitting. What next the popcorn did not have enough butter or the Beer was not cold enough, ugggh.

The french Canadian players for the Bruins had nothing to do with the singing of our national anthem on Thursday night
