McDavid is a top 5 player all time. His goal aside Canada was only threatening on the PP.

I’m thinking McDavid can be easily distracted by a carrot or a lump of sugar.

I'm really not sure how you can blame Charlie there. Was he supposed to give up an easy breakaway? He was where he's supposed to be. The breakdown happened in front of him and the fastest player in the history of the league was the one he had to try and react to.

I don't have any strong allegiance to USA hockey so my classmates attempts at trash talk is not working on me (I attend a Canadian university).

But I'm loving this game so far. The intensity is great and I'm not so emotionally invested that a loss would get me down, so pretty much perfect.
