But you gotta admit, our soon-to-be 11th province did put up a good fight. I mean the new premier is a total lunatic but, you know, you take what you can get.

They say for Canada

In Canada, Sportsnet said the game averaged 5.7 million viewers and peaked at 7.3 million when Connor McDavid scored the OT winner. Add in 1.18 million viewers on TVA, as per Adam Seaborn of Better Collective, and the game averaged nearly seven million viewers. Canada’s population is 40 million.

With a huge jump in the cap guys like Bennett will get $6M+ routinely. I am non anti-Arvidsson but next year I'd exchange Bennett at $6M for Arvidsson at $4M quite easily. Similarly, I'd take Bennett at $6M over Kane at $5M going forward. Now could the Oilers add Bennett at $6M next year without moving out one of these guys? That is tougher to do. But really it would only be for 2025-26 that it would be much of an issue.

Sure, you guys see Bennett as a much better player than I do, which is a major difference as well.
 
So Tkachuk may be out for the season after his running around. Played what, 6 mins in the final? Atta boy taking a spot from Kyle Connor, you meathead. Also, Sully is an idiot for dressing him.

M. Tkachuk had an interview recently, it was one of those jokey ones and the dudes were pretending to be coaches. One of the questions they asked him was what he would say to rally the troops down 0-1 going into the 3rd. He said something along the lines of,

"As my dad always said, 2 rules. Rule 1, give the puck to Matthew. Rule 2, don't forget Rule 1".

Which I get it could be a little tongue in cheek, but that is just a level of arrogance he does not deserve to have. He is a great player, but can you imagine that attitude on a team with Reinhart, Barkov, Bennett and other clutch performers? Nevermind if we had of gotten him instead of JP, and he was acting like that beside the 2 best players in the world? Ridiculous.

I hope we see them in the finals again, to put that arrogant little puke in his place again; like when we pushed him to the furthest team in the league from us. Yeah, you got the better end last year, by the skin of your teeth and had a shit finals to boot. This time it won't be the same, guaranteed.
