Crosby just has such a deep understanding of the game. On the surface that OT play seems like nothing but it’s meticulously orchestrated. He makes it seem like he’s going to attack to the outside and draws them out of their defensive formation to create some space in the middle of the ice before kicking the puck back out of the zone but the timing is key, he doesnt rush to exit the zone and reset the entry, hes real non chalant about tagging up but makes sure to be onside but doesn’t even look engaged. The defenders have no idea what to do with that, there’s is two of them hesitating tying to figure out if he’s a threat and who’s got him and that hesitation he created is all the time Marner needs. Playing mind games with these guys.

That was a very Oilers game though. McDavid feeding guys and nobody cashing. His goalie looking shitty. Ekholm being a beast and Arvidsson being a ghost.

Glad to see people are on the same page as me regarding McDavid. I think he played well and was flying but there's not a ton of synergy on that line. Seems he needs to be the puck retriever which he's good at, but it's not really his strength. I think either Reinhart or Marner would work, but I think a puckhound would help a lot. Konecny or Marchand would be my pick.

Crosby was incredible this game and MacKinnon was pissing me off the way he was playing hero puck out there.

Euros care more about this stuff and the Olympics than the Cup. They don't grow up idolizing the cup

I personally would have a team with the least Euros you can. Just have a couple max complimentary players.
