Well, that is the last game I will be watching (unless Canada makes it to the finals). I did not tune in for the game against Sweden; and I have zero interest in Monday's game. A sham of a tournament.

Stone had no chemistry with them. I’m not sure he got one puck touch on that line lol.
Stone isn't there to get touches. He's there to be a defensive presence, grind for pucks and find open ice to hopefully score like he did in game 1.

Hockey Canada thinking they're smarter than everyone else in the room like usual.

How do we not have any good goalies though lmao
It's WILD to me that with all the so-called experts and "elite" goaltender training that we have in this country that THIS is the quality of product these experts produce. I don't know if Canadian goaltending has ever been worse at the highest level.

Thompson and Scheifele sitting on a beach somewhere shaking their heads. One also gains appreciation for Bouchard's outlet passes after a game like that.

Even Darnell Nurse.

His ability to actually skate and rush pucks would be massive for this plodding team. There is just no way he doesn’t vastly outplay what we’ve seen from Parayko and Sanheim (who I thought was ok tonight), Toews and possibly Morrisey too.

The number of times we had plays go sideways on us for no reason other than our d men got caught too deep and were too slow to recover was way too many.

With makar out they didn't have a single defenseman who was capable of making a play in the ozone. Crosby also was a big non factor in this particular game getting bumped off pucks when he had possession to bad passes.

Brain(dead)trust of Armstrong and Sweeney wear this loss. They didn’t bring the best possible roster. The US did. C’est tout
Maybe they thought they were building the Spangler Cup team? I mean, Hagel and Cirelli? Sanheim? At least Hyman would have gotten into the dirty area to clean up garbage, something this team sorely lacked tonight.

Oh, he had an impact all right. That was a turnover from hell, Bouchard-level. I love Crosby, but that was a back-breaker.

This isn’t the he best goaltending in Canada though. That’s the stupid part. Thompson is one of the best this year, likely in Vézina contention. Kuemper is having a decent year. Even the backup Hill has better numbers than Binnington. Canada just suffers from hockey politics even at the highest level.

Slow af and perimeter play.

But yea this team couldn’t have used a Hyman

Gotta plug Blues and TB

There are 100 players in this tournament.

If all was equal every team would have 3.

But teams are not all equal… we are literally in the top five teams for the last two-three years, finalists last year….

And we have two…

With a 50 goal scorer and 82 point record breaking defenseman sitting out…

It’s really unbelievable to me.

Why were either of these guys even chosen? Both of the league teams they have put together are more likely to miss the playoffs than contend for anything.

Well on the positive side, if we lose out, the resulting inquisition will mean they aren’t back for the Olympics… the real best on best.
