Maybe Berube (or whoever is pulling his strings), by seeing how well Matthews plays away from Marner and how well Nylander plays with even reasonably speedy linemates.

McDavid and Nylander will be neck and neck for series MVP

Marner will make embarrassing behind the back spinarama passes and people will shake their heads.

The team in general is in need of this break. They’ve been playing very sub-par lately. Even though they’ve won some games, they’ve been sliding.

The goalies for sure. I’ve no faith that the guys who’ve sucked all year are going to magically get good after a two week vacation. Woll and Stolarz are each playing/will play more than they ever have, they could use the rest.

Nonsense he will fill an offensive role on one of the top 2 lines. He is top 5 in scoring in the league for christ sakes
