Forget Gretzky...Records that will never be beat

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Gordie Howe actually had a quite a big head:

Ok I made a 3D model of his head, I will try to measure the volume next

Ok total volume is hard to measure, but I believe we have a winner: Gordie Howe has the biggest head in NHL history.

The Hart voting won't align perfectly, but the AS voting and Norris voting is a near 1 to 1 in the era. And Kelly runs away with it all 3 years.

Kelly was widely considered the best defensemen in the world 1951-1954.

There's zero evidence that Harvey was winning any of those 3 Norrises. Especially 1951 when Harvey wasn't seen in that category of defencemen yet.
You're right, my mistake. I concede on this. Thanks for backing it up.

Shocked no one has mentioned these 2:

1. 2 Stanley Cup wins within 10 months (TB Sept '20/July '21)

2. 3 shorthanded goals scored during one power play (BOS, 2010)

It's definitely beatable. Crosby almost did so in 4 goals on 11/27/2010. He had an even strength, power play, and a short handed empty netter goal in that game. He also had a penalty shot in that game but was robbed by Kiprusoff.
How is this not talked about more??? :amazed:
