I agree. I do see lots or Rangers posters saying all but Laf should be available.
I think Trocheck might be off the table now. Before Trouba was moved (with no retention) I thought they might have to sacrifice a guy like Trocheck because of cap concerns/likely inability to move Zibanejad. But because we didn't have to eat anything on Trouba (and Kakko off the books now too) this is less of a concern.

I am sure the Canes could make a good deal for Trocheck though. Unfortunately (?), I don't see any Trocheck to CAR deal that would not include Jack Drury and the optics of that right now would be exponentially ugly; so I just don't think there is a deal here.

I think Jack would look good playing for his Uncle (for however long that may be)

I am very ambivalent on Jack Drury. I think he does a lot of stuff right, but I don't think NHL caliber offense is ever coming. That being said, the Rangers are playing this way because they are trying to get Chris Drury fired; so trading Trocheck for Jack is probably the only thing that could make this locker room even worse. Frankly, it wouldn't be fair to Jack either. Also Chris may have lame duck status himself so it would just be a very silly deal to make, value wise or not..

Depends on the route the Rangers go but...
1st and a prospect plus potentially a conditional pick based on retention/quality of prospect.
-or-
A young roster player (LHD or RW) plus a pick

Kreider, Smith, Lindgren, Quick, Borgen, Vakaanainen, Vesey, Jones will all be available for various picks.

I'd say outside of Kreider, none of those guys are returning much more than mid-late round picks but it's fine because you buy scratch off tickets on NCAA or Euro league guys and let them develop for 3-4 years. Rangers have a legit prospect in Noah Laba from that, and some other guys like Lamb, Larsson, and Kempf who could get contracts.

Rangers will have a retool summer and promote some of their young guys for later this season (Garand, Othmann, and maybe even give cups of coffee or thank yous to Sykora and Chlemar for working hard).

What would the Rangers get for their rentals?
How reasonable is this?

Ryan Lindgren -for- 2nd plus low prospect
Will Borgen-for- 3rd? (No idea)
Reilly Smith -for- 4th or 5th
Jimmy Vesey -for- 5th or 6th
Ask Quick if he will sign a one year extension. If not then trade him. If he is the best goalie rental on the market could it get crazy and he gets a 2nd? I guess but probably looking at in the range of a 3rd - 5th aturnaround.

All these picks, besides maybe the Lindgren one, I would be looking for 2026 draft. This way you could use them to potentially trade for rentals next year if you think this could be a quick turnaround.

I'll take Chytil, Cuylle, and Kaliyev to Seattle. Maybe Shesterkin. Something around Evans + OFM + Sale + 1st in 26/27 maybe. Yes I know this isn't happening. Roast away.

What the hell have you been watching?

He messed up massively for the 4th goal but he was solid tonight up until that point.
Where was he for their 2nd goal? Chasing Robertson behind the net! You mean the tying goal with 2:39 left in the game after leading 3-0? The only guy who defended worse was Fox. What the hell have you been watching?
