Bruuuhhh!!

So NYR give up:

A 1st Line Centre (retained) who has averaged a PPG in the last 5 years

A 1st Line LW who has scored 151 goals over the last 3 seasons in all games which is 5th in the NHL.

A top 4 dman who played a crucial role in getting is to 2x ECF and a Presidents Trophy.

Only to receive:

- 2x 2nd rounders

- A middle 6 winger

- A middle 6 centre

- A bottom 4 defenseman

And the selling point is NYR lose salary and get younger? Come on man.
I've had Rangers fans sell me these parts for less. Also, I've fixed your assessment of Hayton. Lastly, that game can be played from our end too.

UHC gives up:

- A two-way, 20 goal, physical winger who is younger and on a solid contract.

- A two-way middle 6 center who won't light up the points, but can play top 6 without looking out of place.

- a reliable bottom pairing defenseman.

- 2x 2nds (which contrary to HFB, have value in the league).

NYR give:

- A nearly 32 year old, possiblydeclining center who has shown significant struggles on both sides of the puck this season, signed at $8.5m for 5 more years.

- A nearly 34 year old winger who's very likely declining in play and production at $6.5m for 3 more seasons.

- And a 26 year old LD who is having a very down year (I fully believe he will recover and be a top 4 player into his early 30s, but he has had a lot of usage and I may be wrong).

As you can see, a very stupid game.

We're only really flush at LW. Every other position is a need in one way or another.
Thanks.

I was trying to come up with a suitable offer from the Caps for Chytil. But A) I wouldn't want to give up any high end prospects and the Caps have a dearth of mid-tier prospects, B) don't really know how much the Rangers value him, and C) they would need the Rangers to take some salary back (some combo of Sonny Milano, Alex Alexeyev, and Ethan Bear, OR just Mangiapane). So I just shrugged and moved on.

It's rough to gauge Chytil's value properly. When he's healthy, he's arguably our best center, but he is very often not healthy and every time he even gets slightly bumped by a member of the opposing team, most Rangers fans are clenching their buttholes.

Crouse, Hayton, Valimaki, 2025 2nd (UHC), and 2026 2nd (NYR) for Zibanejad (25%), Kreider, and Lindgren.

NYR get younger and adds a few picks, while decreasing cap. Wouldn't say they get better or worse by the deal.

UHC gets more experienced for a playoff push. Unfortunately, Zibanejad has a lot of time on that contract, might be manageable in the later years at $6.375m.
Had it considered until the retention.

I am in the minority but I would actually do a deal for kreider and Mika together with very little coming back. Essentially two 2nds and short term cap dump(s).

The best way to have Mika even consider a deal is go with his BFF. I think nyr is at a place they need to just remove this part from their aura and clear the space for new leaders to emerge.

I am also very outspoken that I would absolutely trade fox for proper value before his nmc kicks in this summer.

What’s the ask on Trochek to Colorado?
He has term and a solid contract so it doesn't make sense. Nyr would need to keep some proper vets and he isn't the issue in the room.

moving zib immediately and not dawdling on Lindgren has value

its' called structural cap relief

sorry but yeah, would love to not retain on zib but it's gonna have to be the case

While there is a pref to keep, I would be open to entertaining offers IF there was enuf profit
what have you got?

Players like Manson, Girard, Colton or to a lesser extent Mittlestadt. 2026 first, NYR 2025 2nd, Gulyayev, Behrens and again to a less extent Ritchie.

nope
LA wants him and will pay
You seriously need to move on from this nonsense. Few issues with this assumption you picked up off of Yardbarker (not exactly a Kings insider):

Salary Cap

Blake moved on from the trade idea for an established, big name goalie when the market was outside his budget. He is getting serviceable results from Kuemper and Big Save Dave.

Salary Cap

The Kings also have Copley to move up as needed.

Salary Cap

The Kings have Portillo they look to up full time as soon as next season. The pipeline includes Carter George and Hampton Slukynsky, both good prospects.

Salary Cap

Blake has clearly moved on from seeking a big goalie trade.

Oh, and the Kings can’t afford Shesterkin. That bloated contract is all yours.

I really think Kuzmenko to the Rangers really makes sense. This team is one year out from winning the Presidents trophy. They are just in a slide right now and getting some scoring would help them get back on track. They have great goaltending, fairly respectable defence and if they can get the PP going they can right the ship. Kuzmenko is a PP specialist at this point. But getting him in with Panarin could revitalize them both.

We are pretty heavy on LW. RW is our priority in the forward area. I dont know what can be done right now but in free agency season I can see us taking a run at Boeser.

Mark my words, if we do not sell high on Fox, we will regret it.
I am not sure you are selling at Fox's high point. He scored his 1st goal 20 games in. His D partner will most likely be moved shortly. His point total is good, but this is hardly a Norris year. Yes, the NMC kicks in and it's your jump off point for a while, but what makes that ideal for a buyer? It's ideal for you, I get that. What is the minimum a team has to get for him in your mind?
