Miller (3.9M), Kaako (2.4M), Kreider (6.5M) for Zegras (5.75M), Vatrano (3.65M), Lacombe (.925M)?
From a NYR perspective, this doesn't help and we'd be better off trading them separately. I really don't think either Vatrano or Zegras helps us, so what's the point in doing a 3 for 3 trade here? Also, Lacombe has a face only a mother can love, so with that, I'm out.

As a Habs fan, I'd be interested in Zibanejad or Trocheck.

What would it take for each of them from Habs?

Crouse, Hayton, Valimaki, 2025 2nd (UHC), and 2026 2nd (NYR) for Zibanejad (25%), Kreider, and Lindgren.

NYR get younger and adds a few picks, while decreasing cap. Wouldn't say they get better or worse by the deal.

UHC gets more experienced for a playoff push. Unfortunately, Zibanejad has a lot of time on that contract, might be manageable in the later years at $6.375m.

Both have a NMC this season. Trocheck becomes a 12 team no trade list next season. So I don't see anything taking place unless both players waiver, or Montreal isn't on Trochecks list next season.

I’d do it if Zibanejad would waive. Any chance one of the RD would be available though? I know Marino and Durzi are out for a while but when they come back you have Marino, Durzi, Kesselring, Lamoureux all on the right.

I'm not sure how BA would feel, but I personally have no interest in making a change to our right side currently. We really only have 1 decent RH prospect in Lavoie to go with those 4. We also haven't seen Marino in a Utah sweater, I'd think we'd want a chance to assess him before we make a decision there.

My hope was that Zib would be open to it with Kreider in the deal. My understanding is that they're bros.

Understandable.

As far as Zibanejad waiving, who really knows for sure, I imagine having his pal involved in the trade could help facilitate Mika being willing to waive.

Rs on short end of this stick but it is reworkable 'nuf to be made doable
