Ask Fantilli I guess.Well, I enjoyed it, so, really, that's ultimately what counts, right?![]()
Hey not anything about you but Hedger with his half truths and reaches on his comments just gets me going.Wow, guy makes a witty comment and this is the retort?
Perhaps the difference between us is that I do not see making a comment as the same as "hating".Fine, COMMENTS.
It goes to EVERYONE “hating” on Severson. He’s not a bad player and doesn’t make any more mistakes than any other defenseman or player.
I’m not a big OSU fan like most around the city, so I personally hate when the OH-IO chant breaks out at nationwide. You’re there to watch a different team. Cheer for them.
It would make more sense if they were the Ohio Blue Jackets. I just don’t see the point of it at a CBJ game, everyone knows it’s not a cheer for the team. Why do a cheer for a team that has nothing to do with your home team? I much prefer the CBJ chant and I’m sure the players would as well. Agreed on the Bon Jovi front though. lolI'm all for the crowd doing O-H-I-O more. It's a distinctly Columbus tradition, it gets the crowd involved, it's unique in the hockey world and fans around the league are probably a bit impressed by it, and I don't think we need to collectively sing any more Bon Jovi.
Except for it’s an Ohio State tradition. The school has supporters and alumni all over, not just Columbus. Its presumptuous to assume that just because you are in Columbus you have any affinity for the university that happens to be there, no matter how large or tradition-laden.I'm all for the crowd doing O-H-I-O more. Do people sing it at Cleveland Browns games? How about "Hang on Sloopy", it's the state song of Ohio.
It's been almost twenty years since I was a Browns STH or gone to a game and I stopped watching the games or caring when they traded three first round draft picks for a POS. So don't know about now...but back when I had season tix and went to every game...I believe they did.Do people sing it at Cleveland Browns games?
Bengals? Cavs? Crew? It's been almost twenty years since I was a Browns STH or gone to a game and I stopped watching the games or caring when they traded three first round draft picks for a POS. So don't know about now...but back when I had season tix and went to every game...I believe they did.
I am a casual Buckeyes fan, I associate Hang on Sloopy with the state of Ohio, not Ohio State.
Really? I have no freaking clue, don't like basketball or soccer or baseball and even if I hadn't lost interest in football I certainly could not care less about the Bengals. I know you are trying to make a point but it's lost debating it with me. I gave you my personal opinion about a song...you don't agree that's cool. In the end it really doesn't matter to me.Bengals? Cavs? Crew?
Ok I will let you have the last word.Really? They do at Indians games. They play hang on sloopy and do the Ohio chant. They also have the Ohio letters they give to fans and show them on the scoreboard.Do people sing it at Cleveland Browns games?
It's a distinctly Ohio State tradition and not a Columbus tradition. I don't see it done at other non-OSU sporting events but it sure as hell happens at OSU Football, basketball and hockey games. I can't really recall it happening at Clippers games or Crew games.I'm all for the crowd doing O-H-I-O more. It's a distinctly Columbus tradition, it gets the crowd involved, it's unique in the hockey world and fans around the league are probably a bit impressed by it, and I don't think we need to collectively sing any more Bon Jovi.
Not my favorite either, but the crowd was noticeably more lively last night so if that’s what it takes…I’m not a big OSU fan like most around the city, so I personally hate when the OH-IO chant breaks out at nationwide. You’re there to watch a different team. Cheer for them.
Oh I focus my hate on that too. And “woo.” And the chili chant (which actually is a CBJ thing, the irony is not lost on me).If only we could focus this OSU angst on the true enemy. The wave.
Buckeye leaves on helmets for good playsThe Blue Jackets should only use sticks made out of buckeye wood and the starting goalie should sing Carmen Ohio before every game.
We f***ing had it with Boomer!! So stupid what people turned that into that ruined our unique and fun mascot. I think they should bring him back. If they have to “reinvent” the design, so be it.Teams should establish their own identities and things don't have to be shared among fan bases and shoudn't be forced upon other fan bases.
I think just winning regularly will take care of that. Not my favorite either, but the crowd was noticeably more lively last night so if that’s what it takes…![]()
