lots of room for improvement, I concede
but this guy had like 350+ passing yrds today!
Sure, some of it was smoke and mirrors, and cosmetic.
But there was real bonafide good stuff there too.

To me, the biggest prob is no effin OL
NONE
we will be lucky if he survives the season, no damage

we MUST go OL our top picks, pref OTs
All of this is negated by the 3 absurd INTs he threw.

Jones didn’t play well towards the end of the game, but what are you gonna do? He doesn’t have a great go to option in a big spot.

Ritchie James has to go.

Also, something that bugged me last take and bugged me today. About 1:30 minutes remaining in the first half, with all 3 time outs. Why not try to get a drive going and get some points? It’s way too conservative.

He has the Golden Girls at WR. Blanche catches some. Dorothy occasionally gets open. Come on. Who would not excel with this WR group?

Gave me Judge PTSD.

Shows you how thin the margins are for the Giants. Daboll has had them play essentially mistake free football for the first half of the season. They’re not good enough to overcome fumbles like that.

It is what it is though. 6-2 at the bye. I still can’t believe it. The season being well over by Halloween has been a staple of giants football for so long I’ve forgot what this felt like lol.

He needs to learn how to be a pocket passer. Set his feet and throw.

I do not know why all routes take 5 seconds to develop and why everyone is always covered.

They need simple 3 step drops.. crossing routes, slants, outs...

His mechanics are a mess and the playcalling has been bad.

He might be having issues looking over the line... he's always rolling out. Also gets way too many passes deflected by linemen

I agree w/some, disagree w/rest of this.
Bottom line is this: THERE IS NO EFFIN LINE, ESP OTs.
none!

Until that changes, 3 drop steps = not so simple/automatic given

also, you have to change it up or too predictable = too easy to D against

Obv yes, performance has been uneven, lots of mistakes, etc
but by same token, when he has had protection, he looks a LOT better.

Wilson sucks. We talk about how amazing it is that the Rangers can't develop elite forwards; the Jets have legitimately never once in their history developed an elite QB. I mean you need to do some heavy era adjustments to make Namath look elite. Just a cursed franchise. Even inept franchises get lucky once in a while.
If Wilson's first read is unavailable he completely panics. His mind just stops working, he bails out of the pocket and then it's russian roulette.

In his 2nd year, he really should be able to read defenses better than he does.

This may not be popular but Schoen did the right thing not paying the sellers market prices the last two days. This team is ahead of schedule and still needs to be building.

If OBJ for nothing but money is the move then I don't hate it. He seems to have grown up somewhat since he was last here.

We can't afford OBJ and still be able to address injuries. Like, the cap situation is literally that bad. Same reason we can't afford to cut Golladay - it would not allow us to address any injuries during the year.

Unless OBJ takes near minimum, I don't see how he can fit into our cap.

I also fully support standing pat. A 2nd for Claypool? ROFLLLLLL.

Yup. Bears terribly overpaid. I understand why they did it, they're trying to help Fields and they have diddly squat at WR, but Claypool cares only about his personal brand and isn't a guy you can rely on.

I would presume OBJ would take league min coming off an ACL injury, but never know I guess.

It's the NFL and there's so much movement every week so the Giants aren't truly done.

The best thing for them is to just get healthy at this point (getting Ximines, Neal, and Breneson back among others).

OBJ is a no brainer. I think he'd like playing for Daboll. He's grown up and there will be a very short leash if he starts pulling antics. This regime are not the drunk uncles or pushovers.

We all know Golladay stinks but if he gives them anything and adding OBJ and Bellinger back for the stretch run, that team could actually do some damage.

I wonder if Zach throws 4 picks and under 100 yards would Saleh consider a qb change or ….

Josh Allen greatest QB in the world just threw a Wilson-esque INT
