Dallas was terrible all game. That penalty Wilson took on Dak's first long completion in an eon killed any hope of a comeback.

I wouldn't mind seeing that certified liar Rodgers out either. Then I can enjoy! :)

Don't care either way if Rodgers wins or loses personally, so I'm free from that burden, but from a career standpoint he probably deserves more than the one SB win he's got.

Watching a team like the Rams last night really made me wonder if Mara actually watched any other games besides Giants games over the last 5 years. Like, how can you watch innovative offenses like the Rams or Chiefs and still think you have any chance to build a winning team through ball control and a workhorse RB and scoring 14-20 points a game.?

By the way, the government portal for ordering free at-home covid tests opened a day early. There will probably be a mad rush tomorrow so if you're interested you should place your order today before the servers presumably bomb out tomorrow.

COVIDtests.gov - Free at-home COVID-19 tests
Wow, thank you for the heads up. I had it on my calendar! I have about 12 tests total for my family of 4, but with my wife back at work and two kids in school (and an elderly mom), we'll take want we can get.

Watson to NYG chatter starting up again.

Talent and age wise he's a much, much better target than Wilson, but I would want his legal issues settled one way or another first before he's dealt. You don't want to start off a new era of Giants football with a distraction of that magnitude.
Want absolutely no part of Watson. Character matters. And besides character, a leopard can't change it's spots. This dude was making appointments with 20 different massage therapists and (allegedly) assaulting a large portion of them. This was all in the course of a single year. While he may be able to settle and stop the full extent of what happened from ever being printed, what makes anyone confident that he'll ever change his behavior? Besides the obvious ethical concerns, as a business, you're always going to have to worry about this guy.

So Schoen (Buf), Peters (SF), and Poles (KC) are apparently the three finalists for NYG GM. Again, not sure I could be any happier with the list than that. Any one of those would be an A+ hire in my book.

I like all three with Schoen and Poles my favorites. I think its Schoen/Daboll from the start. He's got the Parcells voucher and with the Mara's looking outside the org, this is the closest thing to them being comfortable in that regard.

I’ve been looking over the draft. Jets are in a weird spot. Both top pass rushers will be gone. This isn’t a good QB draft where you’d have teams wanting to trade up for the 4 pick.

Not really sure what you do. Stingly is the top CB for most - but he’s been injured for 2 years. Hamilton, a safety at 4? Too high for a WR.

just a weird spot. Not sure what they’ll do. I guess is Neal falls, take him bc he can play multiple OL positions. Hope Ahmad Gardner is around at 10 (prob won’t be)

Definitely seems like a tough spot for the Jets. If Hutchinson and Thibideaux go 1-2 I have a hard time seeing Houston pass on Neal, which means you're kind of stuck with Stingley or Hamilton.

I guess the hope for both NY teams is someone gets crazy and trades up to #3 for one of the QBs?

I think worst-case scenario for the Giants would be 1. Hutchinson 2. Thibodeaux 3. Neal 4. Ekwonu. I don't want any part of Stingley, and with McKinney, Logan Ryan and Love at the safety position drafting Hamilton at 5 just feels rough value-wise. At that point, it might make sense to trade back with both picks, try to build capital to be able to trade up next year for a QB (I don't see them finishing bottom 5 next year with a decent coach and less injuries). Linderbaum or the 2 LBs hopefully would still be there around 12-15.

I could live with Hamilton at 5 since I think he's the best player in the draft.

But then you better be sure to pick up Cross at 7.
