The Eagles fastest sack yesterday was 6.7 seconds so people might say the Giants Oline did their job. Problem is the Eagles were rushing only 4 guys vs 5-6 blockers most the game. Eagles were playing a ton of players in coverage probably to protect their beat up LBs and secondary. I thought that waws a poor strategy given the Giants Oline but its hard to say because the Eagles looked as bad as I have seen in years.

He would have been fine. Plenty of good QBs have been successful behind bad o-lines. As you say Zach makes the o-like look even worse by constantly running backwards and such. Take the fumble early against Miami for example. Becton killed the play obviously. There was also absolutely no need to start running backwards and then try to throw the ball while being tackled. Someone like Rodgers would have recognized the play was dead and just went down and accepted the 3-4 yard loss without doing something stupid.
Let's agree to disagree....I don't think he would have done much better than the others.

The delay of game on the Giants at the end of the first half may have been even worse. Gifted the Eagles 3 points.

The call on the Giants center was crap too.

Lane Johnson was moving at least a second before the snap all game long, and nothing was called.

It was pretty obvious that the Eagles were going to be given the game.
I haven't watched many NFL games the past 2-3 years, but I have also noticed a bunch of missed false starts. That was never a thing even when the refs were blowing pass Interference calls & roughing the passers left & right. I always recall false starts spotted & blown dead immediately. Curiously the Eagles are the team I've noticed most often as the team that seems to benefit from these missed calls.

With all the gambling money getting thrown around, it's really hard to take the league seriously when you see so much poor officiating.

Talking heads plus former players like JJ Watts are praising Joe Flaco like crazy. JJ Watt is like how could this guy (Flacco) have not been playing? What a difference a month makes.

Giants f***ed around and won some meaningless games, now they have to hope Commanders and Pats win out so the Giants can grab one of the big-3 QBs.

Sam Howell went from future to sayonara in less than half a season?

We also have 2 second round picks we can move up with. I'm not THAT concerned. If they want someone, they can trade with Arizona. Or, if Chicago is not taking a QB, with them.

Sam Howell was always the tank. Brissett can run an offense efficiently and really should've played most of the year
Respecfully I don't see that. They were pretty excited by Howell early in the season. They weren't trying to tank. Why would they? The coaches have and will be fired for losing. Players needing contracts value will be lower. If Jacoby is the way to win why would a team trying to tank go to him for the last 2 games?

They traded away 2/3 of their DL and have literally no pass rush now. Most teams trying to win don't do that.

New owner probably wanted to see a new QB instead of a JAG and has now seen enough of the new QB. They're guaranteed a top 10 pick for the most part and a great chance at one of the QBs in this draft now, so save face and play Brissett and be competitive. Looks good in the FA market.

I never thought Rivera had much of a chance once Bienemy was hired. Rivera will be gone and he'll step right in.

This is all speculation but it has base to it.

He’s physically and mentally broken, he’s taken 60 sacks this season. They are doing him a favor, and won’t beat SF or Dal with either QB.

They made those trafe moves only after losing games. They knew by that point they weren't going to make the playoffs. They didn't start the season trying to tank with Howell. They tried to win with Howell. If they used Howell to tank the last thing they would do is pull him in the last 2 games.

Weird QB season. DJ and Giants fell back. Denver just benched Russell Wilson despite a top 10 comeback season (contract fight). Flaco as #4 QB leading the Browns.

He has taken a lot of hits. I agree its a favor to him.

All the press here for the first half of the season was that Washington was legitimately excited about Howell. There are apparently real concerns about his recklessness and turnovers, but they love his enthusiasm and energy and ability to make things happen. I wouldn't be shocked if one of the big guys fell into their laps that they took him, but otherwise I think they'll give him another go.

If they move on, Howell will definitely find another home because he has a lot of talent. He's just a gunslinger that doesn't know when to play it safe. If Washington moved on from him I would absolutely take him on the Jets to sit for a year or two until Rodgers retires.

Ah I guess both situations are plausible. I always saw it as a transition year for the new owner

Definitely a weird year for QBs. Even Mahomes has looked like shit lately

I've seen ~70% of the mocks have them still taking a QB.

CBS, Draftwire, BN, SI, etc all have them taking one of the big 3

I'm a Giants fan now living in Charlotte, so i also follow the Panthers, and its amazing to me how both teams f***ed themselves out of a possible cornerstone QB this year.

Definitely a possibility WFT goes QB. My point was how quickly these QBs are going from hopeful to hopeless this season. WFT was very high on Howell the first 6 games. Went from Savior to Sayanara fast. Before this season Dan Orlovsky and ESPN were talking about Justin Fields winning the MVP. Now he may be replaced as well. Even some are questioning Bryce Young ceiling. He was just the #1 pick. Pickett is another. Huge preseason hype. Now what?

Every single 1st rounder is expected to be the savior right away. Most aren’t ready to carry an NFL franchise and need to start off on the bench.

I thought benching Zach would lead the Jets to winning games lol (joke).
Cleveland has an offensive line (and a great defense) . That is why they have a chance to win games.

They've also suffered quite a number of injuries along that OL. Conklin went down early in the year. Jones came in and now he's hurt. They also lost their starting LT about halfway through the year.
