The Jets have never been a dynamic offensive team or have had an offensive coaching staff. Every time they draft a QB they hand him the keys and tell him to save the franchise. Then there’s usually a 40 year old vet backing up, not someone pushing for a starting job.

The play is sign a WR, draft two OL and then whether it’s jumping into the 2nd or back into the 3rd, and grabbing a QB to develop for a year or two under Rodgers. We never let our guys sit and learn. Rodgers retires then we already have someone in place, not a rookie to save us, and theoretically we’ll have superstars Wilson, Hall plus whoever else we acquire.

Wherever the keg is!
My favorite part of the Tommy Devito story is the rest of the country finding out that these type of Italian Americans actually exist.

Everyone knows or knew.

If anything, that those old school Italians did not go extinct.

Reminded me of one of my exes. She would communicate with her hands and arms, and I thought she was airing her pits, so I bought some deodarant for her, and she proceeded to chase me with a chef's knife.

She was most certainly the one...I got away from!

Every week there’s a new bit to gawk at but his agent might be the mountaintop.

Being Tommy Devito’s agent has got to his third or fourth side gig. That guy definitely owns a laundromat in Edgewater, New Jersey.

The only Italian Kirk Cousins (I think?) could think of to compare was Al Capone.

Reminds me of when the rest of the country first saw the Sopranos , or Jersey Shore. It was such a sensation and it like… idk they remind me of my relatives / school mates lol

Also I’m just now realizing that Tommy DeVito was the character Joe Pesci played in Goodfellas lmao

Yes. What they need to do, for once, is build a strong foundation for a future young QB to step into. With a strong line, good weapons, and a good OC.

Pat Mahomes didn’t just come in and save the Chiefs. They had a great system and roster in place already for him to step into and let his talents shine.

Tommy D and Zach Wilson are the NFC and AFC Offensive Players of the week lol
Not bad for a guy that did not want to play lol (joke). :D

You are right. KC was already a first place playoff team. Mahomes only played in 1 game as a rookie.

I was a Titan guy...they were great for roller hockey. Koho's had those laminated blades that would come apart on the asphalt.
I never liked Koho sticks. I felt like they were thicker and heavier. I liked Montreal for their lightweight flex and curves on the ice. Titan was good as well. I think I used a Easton shaft with a Titan blade for roller hockey. Its been so long that I can't remember lol :D

There are two things that this draft is actually pretty deep in and it is WR and QB. You can say some of the QBs aren't starter material, but I'm willing to give it a go with some of these guys, especially the senior QBs. When you see draft boards it's all the big names, but there are a few layers after them.

Williams, Maye, Penix, Nix, Daniels, Ewers, McCarthy. Those are the top 2 round guys. I'd like to have one, but there are a slew of guys after them. Jordan Travis is someone I'd keep my eye on. Dude is a leader and can play the position and is not being grouped with these guys. I'd love to target a 3-4 year starter from college, even someone like Spencer Rattler that had all the hype around him before he got replaced by the guy at the top of this draft class. Milton III from Tennessee is a raw talent that having him sit for a few seasons could turn into a big time weapon.

And WR is deep in the draft as well, even beyond the 1st round guys. The focal point needs to be the OL. Tippmann is good. AVT is good (needs to be healthy). Outside of that, you have three spots to fill. You get your LT with your 1st and go from there.

I've been saying this for a while now.....if the OL isn't drastically improved, it won't matter who the QB (or RB for that matter) is.

Its amazing how much people looks at QBs and ignore Oline play. Average QBs play well behind good olines while good QBs often play poorly behind bad Olines.

With the way d-men are flying thru that line at will, I'm surprised more people aren't outraged....it's certainly a major factor in their lack of even a semblance of a running game.

That is true. Actually there have been a lot of QB injuries this season. Having a good backup may become a bigger focus next offseason league wide.
