Home field advantage is still a thing sometimes. How pathetic are NY Giant fans they let there team get :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:d 50-0 and then 24 hours later in the same stadium the Jets fans will their team to a win after Rodgers goes down.

In all seriousness, this is obviously just awful for the Jets (and the NFL). In the end they gave away 2 2nd round picks and one 6th round pick for nothing. What really could/should they do now? Obviously, they go with Wilson in the short term but I would think they would be leaving no stone unturned to find another QB. How does Rodgers' injury effect the cap? I guess their best hope is Rodgers becomes a second QB coach for WIlson and some how helps him enough to become a game manager for the rest of the year.

Not making an excuse for The Giants for embarrassing themselves, but outside of the QB situation, top to bottom the Jets are a better roster. It’s what makes losing Rodgers so painful.

First time I sat down excited for a Jets game in I don’t even know how long and my bowl lasted longer than his season did

Time for some armchair QBing. Doesn't it look like Rodgers was trying to desperately make something happen while going down? Just go down. It's the first drive of the game. Instead he tries to worm free by pivoting and his feet get planted into the turf.

Wilson avoided serious injury too. He got convexed after a couple of Bills took him down to his knees and another Bill gave him a lick across the chops. This offensive line is gonna be a nightmare for whoever's back there.

Go get Winston or brisset. Either way this team is f***ed. Rodgers most likely done for his career. Maybe he will be a coache for us

Don't they run screens anymore? I don't recall seeing any from either team. Or are they not a fit for Rodgers' style?

Yeah he did try to extend the play to his detriment. People trying to blame the O-line or the play calling. I don't really see it. Those two passing plays were meant to be quick slants that Rodgers didn't feel like were open. Blocking by o-line was intentional like the tweets above alluded to. Maybe in week 3 he would have just thrown the ball away or eaten the sack but he was trying to impress on opening night. Also give credit to the Bills defense which is really good.

Jets were trying to be careful with Hall and Cook. Both coming back from serious injuries. Neither having close to full camps. I think they were actually trying to do the exact same thing that the Bills did on their first drive. Quick throws to negate a vaunted defensive pass rush. Just nobody open and a 39 yo QB trying to do too much.

Garrett Wilson was wide open on the slant the play he got hurt, he looks right at him, and doesn’t throw it for some reason.

The New York Jets’ trade for Aaron Rodgers this spring meant many things, including that he would be playing 14 games on artificial turf, a significant increase from the four he had with the Green Bay Packers in 2022.
“Huge difference for a guy who turns 40 in December and has had some lower-leg injuries, including calf strains,” an NFL team exec told The Athletic this summer.

Some of the players last night on both sides said the field felt better than last year. Felt softer as Mosley put it, but Mosley still says grass is superior. Others like Hall, Cobb, J. Johnson, etc also prefer grass. Dalvin Cook played on a lot of turf in MIN and said it felt OK.

Looking at the replay, looks like Rodgers got spooked by the Bills' safety, who was looking right at Rodgers.

I know the Jets get back their 1st, but they still did end up paying the Packers two 2nds for five minutes and zero completions.
