OT: Football thread (2024 season)

At least in the NHL when there's a penalty you get a power play which is a lot more exciting than a 10 yard penalty for offensive holding.

Penalties have been awful this season. So many unwatchable games.

Despite the win, this game still feels like a loss. Am I the only one who feels that way? (Probably.)

It just does't matter.

They still won't make the playoffs, blowing those games to New England and Denver, and not closing out at least one of the Bills or Vikings games , the hole is to deep.

And for some reason the Jets own Houston and CJ Stroud lol

The product stinks because of how rookie QB's are treated, a lot of that comes from after how Russell Wilson led Seattle his rookie year and Dak did his rookie year with Dallas. Guys are forced to start in the league if they're a high pick and most of them are raw, unexperienced guys trying to lift up a shit organization or team because why else would you be picking that high in the first place? Also colleges are not grooming players anymore. Kids are really unprepared oared coming out of school. Especially QBs. The NiL and constant transfers are catching up.

Some people are like what is wrong with Stroud? Seriously? He has lost 2 of his WR and part of his oline. These things matter. :D

Rodgers should be in heaven with those WR, RB and defense. Probably the best of his career. Wilson is something else. I'm a Giants fan but I think Wilson is much better. If the Oline holds up can they make the playoffs?
 
i don't mind going for 2 but Dabescmakes horrible play calls. No misdirection at all. You only need 2 yards. Ugh
 
The coach really is to blame for most of this besides the QB. The play design is inept. On that 2pt conversion they had only 3 guys running routes in the endzone and every one else was kept to max protect and all 4 guys got through to Jones.

Its ridiculous that they keep 7 in to block 4 (or 5) and they still cant. Hubbard is horrible. I can't believe they don't even try Neal. How can Neal be any worse?
