How many probable points did the refs cost the Giants and give to Pitt last night? Here are some of the worst but there are more. I count at least 15 but could be looked at as anywhere from 15-22.

1. Obvious pass interference on Porter holding Nabers hand so he has to try to catch a perfect pass 1 handed.

2. Very ticky tack call on Nabers for a shift wipes out touch down to Johnson.

3. Running in to the punter was not called. Should have been a first down for the Giants and instead is a back breaking TD return for Pitt.

4. Delay of game. The refs usually do not call delay of game for at least a 1 count after the clock hits zero. Instead this time they called it before the clock even hit zero.

It sincerely looked like the refs had a bet on the spread of this game. Reminds me of them calling a facemask on Bellinger early in the season when it was Bellinger who had his facemask pulled down.

I almost never complain about refs because I reffed hockey and understand mistakes happen but this at best was gross incompetence. It was crazy!

2-6. The season is once again over by Halloween. There's no reason to play chicken with that injury clause anymore.

Lock with a full week of prep can't possibly be worse. And if he is, that's honestly fine anyway, since the season is already over. No sense in moral victories when the team needs to continue to add talent via the draft.

There are multiple things that brought this down and coaching was the #1 thing that sets a chain reaction.

Your coach should never let your team wear the shirt of the backup QB as soon as he switches to the starter because of poor play. Injury? I can see it as a rallying point. It all began there with Wilson and Mike White and it showed everyone that the inmates ran the asylum.

Next was management, and even though Douglas has made some great picks, there are too many other flaws. He never fixed the OL and never got the QB situation correct. Tried to address both and failed mainly because the OL couldn't block.

Went with a nearly entire staff in year 1 at their new job. No veteran coordinator for a rookie coach to lean on. It showed in player management the most.

And now you've got a talented roster without a coaching staff to get the most out of them. The issue wasn't just Saleh, it was the whole group, from top to bottom.

And now it was basically get Rodgers whoever he wants. The team needs a cleanse and unfortunately it probably means some of these talented guys do leave, but it's not going to work.

A real cleanse would be Woody Johnson selling the team, but I don't think that will be on the table anytime soon.

I do not think it is age. I think its culture and attitude. Tim Duncan was a hall of famer the minute he entered the NBA. He could have been a diva but he always made it known that the coach was in charge. You can not have the inmates running the asylum. I think many players and media looked at Rodgers as being in charge not the coaches. Rodgers showing up his coach on TV certainly did not help that perception. That hurts the environment. The Jets have more than enough on the field to win many of these games.

Not extremely useless the best QBs have the best comeback stats. They tended to be down enough because they played long careers. Aaron Rodgers played long enough where he should have more comebacks. Maybe not more than any particular player because yes that needs to normalized by opportunties but more than he has which I believe is not many.

Here we have a guy who did the work in 2019. Based on his research, Rodgers (and Eli) performed a touch above average. Brady and Peyton, way above average.

Was that so hard? Now you have a stat that actually has context.

Note here that several players who have many comebacks actually rate as below average. Ferguson 20 comeback (21st most) -1.2. Esiason 19 comebacks -2.2 etc.
