Well my father and I have finally got around to buying tickets for an Oilers game. Dec 23rd vs Canucks section 110.

Seeing as how we are travelling a good distance for the game and we likely won't be back for a long time, we'll probably get to the rink early and eat.

Any meals at Rogers in or around section 110 that are a must try? Don't say the Bobby Burger because I'm not going to eat that one on principal.

Wh at are your go-to snacks and meals at Rogers?

Much better options outside the Arena. Do yourself a favor and have pregame meal before arriving at Arena. Options are numerous and already mentioned. I would avoid the restos at the adjacent casino. Just not good value and not good either.

Marriot has some solid options. Brazen for instance. Chop is a decent place and connected with pedway. Boston Pizza is the inexpensive meal. Lux is solid. Joeys is popular with younger folk.

Make sure you're sufficiently watered pregame as well. Drink prices at Rogers START around 15bucks just for beer. They go up from there. You could get a few drinks anywhere else for the price.

Not worth it. Save your money. Eat around the bars or restaurants near Rogers Place either before or after the game instead. Even going to the game last night and seeing the prices for a beer made me want to gag.

Going to agree with everyone else and make it unanimous. Do not eat at Roger and and if you must imbibe, careful of the pricing, maybe one to get you through the game. Good options all around the arena, but inside, it's either just boring fast food fare or junk.

Given the propensity of the board members to disagree on almost anything its truly amazing how unified the response is here. Do not eat or Drink at Rogers place. Your wallet and your stomach will be sorry. Highest prices anywhere and the people preparing and serving the food are minimum wage hires that are often even inexperienced. Champagne prices at not even beer level of service. Plus its pretty hopeless beer and chronically underfilled. Beware the foam...

If you don't care about paying a couple extra bucks, the butter chicken booth is exceptional and you get a large portion.

I'm not sure where it's located, but I usually end up happy after buying from the carts instead of the concession areas

I agree,

The butter chicken is good. My wife and I also share the gigantic meat sandwiches from the carts...brisket, pulled pork etc.. The concession food is typical, pretty average, but I don't mind most of the carted food.

I'm still sad that they got rid of the soft ice cream from the main upstairs concession lol.

However, as others have mentioned there are tons of excellent restaurants within walking distance, in all price ranges. Going out prior to makes for a complete evening...then you can bite the bullet and have a few over priced drinks at the game.

Remember the days when we were promised state of the art, fresh, innovative food options, and that they had hired some of the worlds top chefs, etc. They can’t even make a hotdog that Kessel will eat.

The only restaurant that is worth trying and decent food is Studio 99 (loge level inside arena) kinda cool as they do the 630 ched pre show and after show up there. It’s buffet style, expensive but you do get to see all Gretzky memorabilia. Outside of that I agree with everyone else, lots of better options outside of arena. Brazen or Joeys are my go to.

Sadly I'll be like the 20th person to suggest eating elsewhere. There are tonnes of great options within a few blocks of the arena. Along with the ones that have already been mentioned.... Tres Carnales if you want tacos. Bistro Braha for schnitzel. Baiju which is right across the street from the arena is good for cocktails or Japanese style tapas. Their bao is very good.

It's been a few years since I've been to an Oilers game, but I think the only thing I had at Rogers that I enjoyed was the meat sandwiches that @jeffff mentioned. Otherwise.... eh.

Will usually hit up Club 99 for one pregame meal per year. Usually the only food I get at the games I attend. Maybe go there for a drink after 2nd period if the Oilers are stinking or nearby fans are annoying.

Tips should never be required or asked.
I give a tip because I choose too, when you ask for a tip, I will give a second thought in coming back to the venue.
The business should be paying their employees enough that they shouldn't be asking for a tip.
A tip is only there if good business and good customer service is present in the transaction.

Not gonna lie, these weren't the responses that I expected. I guess I figured that with all the money spent on the new arena there'd be at least a couple good options for supper. Glad I asked! I'll pass it on to dad and we can find something outside the facility. Thanks guys.
