I dont disagree on Freddy or Matthews but Riels looked lost on that play. Like youre a ducking defense dude.

I mean, his job there is to try and keep the puck in. He gambled on it squirting out and it stuck on the wall and got caught flat footed. It’s Matthews who needs to cover after he f***ed that whole PP with that terrible pass. He literally suicide passes it to marner and then drifts down the far side wall.....? Like dude you just turned over the puck, get back in position. Then he boots the rebound that Andersen burps out. I love Auston but It really starts and ends with Him on that play

Rielly doesn't even have to touch the puck on the PP and gets comments saying he brings our PP down. Sandin replaced him when he was playing and it wasn't any better. I wonder what the problem could be if our PP still sucks even after taking Rielly off of it? Said that last year and replaced him with Barrie and our PP still sucked and finished 16th in the league. So again, I wonder what the real problem is.

What's your concern with how it's run?

We saw 2 needless turnovers by Marner on that last PP. And that's not even the worst PP those two combined for

They don't take the time to set up properly, and they need people grinding in front of the net.

We pass the puck behind the goal line on the PP more than any other team in the league.

It's weird how our PP does this for half a season. It happened with the first guy that everyone blamed on Babcock. It happened with that savior from Florida and it's happening with Malhotra.

1. Rielly cannot run a PP. He simply doesn't posses the skillset and is a Dman who produces off the rush, not cerebral plays.

2. Marner is constantly in a shooting position and simply doesn't have a good enough shot to be a threat. A goalie will take an unscreened shot from the dots from Marner all day. Everyone just clogs the middle preventing a cross pass, and double team Matthews to stop him from shooting.

Marner needs to run point on the PP like he did the first few years or move to another unit IDK. We need a shooter on the other side of Matthews.

Those 2 guys define the PP, more so Marner. I don't get how Rielly gets all the blame. The style of the PP is dictated by Marner. You really want to change it, put him on the bench.

I'm not a fan of how Marner's handled the PP for most of the year, but he does show creativity and promise. Not sure what the top end of Rielly is on the PP, but damn well sure of the bottom end. That's why he takes more blame and then the simply blown SHG by him won't help
