Really short offseason may not help for some of these guys recovering. Think they’re going to hold onto a playoff spot and really ramp it up later in the season

I didn’t think Kaut was horrible that period all things considered so that was nice. Newhook almost won a board battle too!

Not a great period obviously, really disappointed in the defensive effort to start the season.

I'm not too worried once we get closer to the stretch. I'm just surprised so many guys are just coasting out there. They need a wakeup call. Bednar and/or MacK need to get these guys focused. Landy would help a lot since to me, this seems more like a effort issue. And not a lack of skill.

And Kadri was good defensively… Burkie could move the puck well. Took a lot of pressure off the defense and other lines.

More then just the points... With Landy also out for the next 3+ months, we're missing a lot our puck possession players from the middle of the lineup. And a lot of our defensive coverage.
