I like that they paired Makar and Byram at the end of the period there. Hopefully it was Bednars intuition and not injury related to Toews. Both Makar and Toews have been below average so splitting them as a wake up call could be a good thing.

I've liked Compher's game, again.

I know he's still the whipping boy and any negative play is going to get 20 straight posts highlighting it but he has been good. Very far from the Avs issues.

Winning board battles, making smart passes. It's definitely a contract year for JTC.

I don't think he's hurt, just some weird line shuffling. Bednar went Bo, Makar for the second goal, then with the delayed penalty and PP, I just don't think he had a chance.... I least I hope so. I'm not ready for another injury.

What’s rodrigues at? I feel like he and Newhook just do not mesh. There was a play Newhook had a wide open lane and rodrigues looked at him and decided to take a brutal shot. regardless, secondary scoring is certainly an issue.
