A 7 point difference after only 1/3 of the season has been played. Haula has 31 games played and Zacha has 28.

Haula is on 31 point pace - Zacha is on 55 point pace.

It is a pretty big difference.

Zacha was (and still is) a passionless hockey player. Hockey is a chore for him. He get's to play with Pastrnak and Krejci. That mannequin the Devils were practicing with could have 10 points by now playing on their line.

Haula couldn't have played 31 games as the Devils have only played 29 games.

This discussion goes to show that Devils vs Flyers is just another game. I used to get up these. We need other teams to suckandbe ahead of.:)

Wait, but didn't Zacha have top 10 NHL forward Jesper Bratt?
He had 243 minutes with Jesper Bratt and 686 without. Curiously a 64% GF% with Bratt and 41% without.

Say, maybe this guy is quite good!

😂 The first number next to his name was 31 and I thought it was GP...it was his age 😂
He has a younger look about him, but he’s 31. Which is why I say at his age if he ends with this type of down year, he may not get a contract next year for the NHL.

I don’t even think this would be Zacha’s best production season. It may be his highest in points, but he definitely produced at a 50+ point pace here at least once, but didn’t play a full season, either because of injuries/covid shortened season.

That gray of a beard at 32? I think I saw my first gray in my stubble at like 31.

It’s really gray these days, but frequent shaving usually hides that.
No I actually look in my mid to late 20s lmao right now is the best I have ever looked (oh my). My point was that I just feel old when a vet on this team is younger than me. Woof.

I know the feeling all too well now

It's been 5 years since a player older than me played in the NHL

But he was 4 years older than me.....

I'm trying to think of the last Devils player older than me? It couldn't have been Brodeur, but maybe it was.

Bryce Salvador is just 12 days younger than I am. Patrik Elias is about 2.5 months younger.

Never mind- It was Jagr, who I referenced at the beginning of the post. I forgot that he played here more recently than Brodeur did.

I obviously remembered he played in the league more recently than Brodeur did, just forgot he played on the team more recently than Brodeur did.

I think that reporter fired him up. At least I hope so. Today's lines are also a message. Dude just needs a fluke goal to break the ice and I think it falls into place for him.

I thought he got that goal to break the ice against Ottawa a few weeks back, but it didn't work. He's still snakebit beyond snakebit.

Haula is also shooting at 2%, no one could’ve predicted that coming into the year for a guy who usually shoots around 12%. Why are we arguing about Pavel Zacha v Haula anyway?

I do like seeing Zetterlund moved back up to Nico's wing. I thought he was very effective there during the win streak, and recently he wasn't using his full skillset playing a bottom 6 role. Maybe this will spark more scoring from everyone on that line.

Must be a bit of whiplash for Shara, going from playing on a spare parts line getting negative minutes per game, to playing with two of our superstars. I hope he makes the most of the opportunity.

He's been pretty good when he was on that line a few times in the past, IIRC. And it's the perfect compliment, need a guy with a good shot with those two guys.
