Meh. Spilted milk and all that.
He's not a Flyer, so he's dead to me.

Gauthier will have a nice career, but doubtful anything special, looking more and more like Tippett without the motor but a little more IQ.

We have TK, Michkov, Farabee, Tippett, Brink, Foerster, losing Gauthier won't make or break this team.

Don't care at this point why he didn't want to play here, hurt feelings, doesn't like the East Coast, doesn't really matter.

The processes and people that chose him too highly, saw him manage to raise his value, and then sold him low are all still in place. That should concern you.

They do this as a pattern. Gauthier is irrelevant except as part of a nonstop cycle of bad evaluation and decision making.

I’ll never understand the hate towards the guy for not wanting to play for an organization because that organization is incompetent. A fact that all of us know entirely too well and harp on daily.

Good on him for getting out. Maybe we’ll be next.
Yeah, and when he soured on them around March 2023, that was them at their most inept.

Anaheim is one of the franchises that's clearly run worse than the Flyers.
They're either awful at drafting and/or development b/c their top ten picks keep coming up short.
Gauthier will probably add to that list.
So? You can refuse to play for the team that drafted you but you can’t refuse to play for a team you’re traded to.
Doesn’t make sense that one’s fine but the other isn’t, but it is.

Funny how of the 5 people that have refused to play for the team that drafted them, 3 were at least eventually involved with the flyers.
It might be more than 5, this website just listed 5 5 NHL players who refused to play for the team that drafted them ft. Cutter Gauthier
