Confirmed with Link: Flyers trade Cutter Gauthier to Anaheim for Jamie Drysdale and 2025 2nd round pick

Conversely, how many times do you need someone to tell you they're an idiot before you start believing them?

This is more of a general comment. Obviously.
We've been doing this since 2016 or so. What are we doing here? Either put him on ignore, don't respond to him, or respond only with the mockery that he deserves. There's no serious discussion to be had there.

Should we start a "Has Cutter scored his 1st goal yet?" website?

He has attempted 94 shots so far this season and only 35 have gone on net. I would love to see a map with his shot locations to see if our theory that he can't find space below the circles to get shots off regularly holds true.

NHL Edge only has shots on goal but he only has 5 “high danger” shots on goal according to them.

It doesn't look great visually with a lot of outside shit, but Moneypuck has him 45th in 5v5 ixGF too. I thought it would be worse. But it is hard to score goals in the NHL for even elite shooting prospects.

Regardless, he has warts in his game, which we called out here. And strengths. It will likely correct itself, and he'll be a lot more useful than Drysdale. It does help to iron out kinks on your ELC.

Does anything make you nod your head as much as Gauthier's Edge data showing (so far) he's 93rd percentile in top speed and 94th in burst over 22mph.......while being below the 50th percentile in total skating distance? Float much, Cutter?

Michkov has skated 41 miles compared to Gauthier's 32 in the same games played, while Michkov grades ~25th percentile in speed.

This feels very Kessel-esque.

He gets into those low dangers spots very quickly and sits there while other teams are happy to let goalies glove his shots for faceoff wins.

A conversation about Drysdale that cited his background, draft position, NHL games played, AHL points per game, up to his current age of 22, as well as the impact his type of surgery had on other players, & pondered why he is already being written off.
